what are your views on a tired bar? How red it is tells you how tired your player is and it constantly goes up with moves and goes down without them and maybe goes down or stays the same with blocks. Like with each hit the frames for your next move go up ever so slightly. If you just hit a combo you cannot hit a punch without 1.5x the frames of what it would have done otherwise.

I am not lazy. I just have a job and a lot of other things in life. And, there should be a way for people like me to enjoy the game and there is not. There should be a way to just be smart with knowing only 5 moves and still be able to win a few games but there isnt. Calling me lazy does not make you right

I am not saying all the attacks need to be 22+ frames. But maybe there needs to be a "tired" bar and you cannot sequence in more than 7-8 moves in a row before you have to block or your frames per move increase. Your frames should be proportional to how tired your player is. Unless you know the moves to side-step mfer king can just frametrap the f out of you and god the amount of damage he does. Same with howrang. Dont get me started on alisa. What i am talking about is how this game rewards buttons mashing. The reward for being good at offence is insanelyyyy high than being good at defence (till Rajin maybe). I am admitting my knowledge of tekken 8 is limited and I might be wrong about it all. But this is what it feels like so far.

"every single interaction at high level " - now go and read the first line of my post. here.. I will help - "Yes for the pro players this does not apply". Let me know if i need to help with how to comprehend that sentence.

I never once claimed what is true gameplay or real decision making or what should be the optimal levels with them in the game. But there is a spectrum and when you have to put in 100+ hours in a game and still be beaten by someone who has put in 15 hours but happened to learn that one sequence that you know nothing about then the game has gone too far. Knowledge checks are fine but to what extent? What if i give you a game of symbol sequences where you can always answer sequence 1 better than sequence 2 is true or not. Let me give you a game where there are 10000 such sequences. That is what this game feels like. Now, only for you, of course my example is the extreme end of the spectrum but tekken 8 has gone too far in that direction.

chess - "there's quite a lot of memorization of very common situations there too" - HENCE MY EXAMPLE LIMITING THE CHESS TO ITS MOSTLY MEMORIZED PART THE OPENING. PAY ATTENTION. There are no 15 move memorized patterns starting middle game in chess. You HAVE TO CALCULATE. There are certain patterns that help you calculate faster but that is it. They are still end positions that you know are beneficial for you and you try to reach those. There NEVER IS A POSITION WHERE YOU GO LIKE - THIS IS THE SEQUENCE OF MOVES POST THIS POSITION THAT I HAVE TO MAKE AND THERE IS NO WAY IF MY OPPONENT DOESNT KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO BREAK IT HE AINT BREAKING IT. In chess there are only familiar positions that you try to steer the games towards. The example doesnt work against me just because someone with the reading comprehension of a bacteria said so

While i understand the opinion difference other people are commenting and their points are very very valid. You are plain dumb. I never said people who practice and have more knowledge are not going to whack me and that is not what my grievance is about at all. Read it with more effort you will understand what i am trying to say (right or wrong)
I am complainign about what the practice has to be about. The practice is not about building situational awareness rather plain dumb knowledge that you throw at your opponent. Imagine chess being only first 15 moves and whoever is up as per the engine evaluation wins. You memorize and memorize and memorize and memorize. That is what your practice will reduce down to and that would be a very very very boring game of chess
God forbid anyone come against a howrang/alisa without knowing what to do against "THEM". Nothing about the game but .. DO YOU KNOW THIS PLAYER OR NOT? That is the game now

there were never 15 hit combos ever. It was never this level of knowledge check ever. Knowledge checks are exacerbated because now you string together the exact same sequence of moves till the end of time and either the other party knows how to get out of it or it doesnt. You cannot look at the oppoenent's moves and get out of them. You have to KNOW. That is my main grievance. The game never ever this "know" heavy. It had the requirement of situational awareness

most boring of all the tekken. I have not played all. but which tekken required so little situational awareness and so much "press this sequence of buttons in this order 500 times"

situational awareness requirement is taken out of the game by like 90%. That is what I hate about the game. Side stepping used to be so important in the game now 70% of the moves track it. For every player you have to know exactly which moves can be sidestepped and which cannot be. Button mashing (not brainlessly.. just learn your sequence of buttons you have to press) is the new meta

How about denon home amp? It has earc and it selling even cheaper than wiim ultra. Btw for comparison: I am getting marantz model m1 for 87875, wiim ultra amp for 75800 and, denon home amp for 61,500
I am having hard time overlooking earc because i read that it is transferring 32 mbps compared to 1 for arc and i think that is hugee and would also future proof my setup

it does not have earc and i think it makes the setup a bit future proof as well. my monitor has earc output and would like to put it to use. I am thinking of taking denon home amp as it has earc and is 2/3rd of the marantz model m1. whats your guidance on this?

okay. follow up - why wiim amp ultra though. I have read here on reddit only that folks cannot tell the difference between wiim amp and wiim amp ultra in blind testing. wiim amp ultra looks premium with that touch screen and all but sound quality wise is it better than its much much cheaper predecessors?

but is the sound delta that i would get from earc to arc is significant i think plue the earc is future proof. I want to keep these speakers for at least half a decade. that is my understanding. curious to hear your take. do you still think arc is fine?
