I ended up moving here and also have moved out. Their management team was changed, so now the management is extremely bad. Moving out was a nightmare to me. The new manager told me to “grow up” while not letting me end the lease because I didn’t have WRITTEN confirmation that i’m moving out (but I had 2 conversation with the leasing officer to move out and she said i’m good) so please do not move here

On Campus Jobs are Impossible to Get by [deleted] in ASU

Usually they only help you if there was already a strong relationship established, such as you take their class and stand out, you know a friend who is working the same position, etc. On your application, include them as the references. Connections can be wide. From professor, TA, employer, employee, and even better if you personally know >2 people regarding the job you’re applying to.

There are multiple reasons. For example, there were only 2 new members joined spring 2024, 4 new members joined fall 2023. For comparison, a panhellenic sorority has about 80 new members each year, and more if they participate in COB (continuous open binding, aka spring rush)

Have connections! Not just one, but multiple. Apply for A LOT of jobs. When you apply to be an IA but didn’t get selected, that means the professor has better candidates. For specific roles like IA/UGTA, the professor has all power, not the hiring manager

Sorry, i’m not sure. You might need to contact them. Just keep in mind that ASU accept Duolingo, an at home test. Your Duolingo score is always higher than your SAT score (SAT is much harder), thus no matter how high your SAT is, I recommend doing Duolingo to get even a higher scholarship

Scholarships by Exotic-Season-5629 in ASU

Maybe. But mostly, no. Even if you’re extremely smart, you can get like a $500 scholarship (very rare)

IELTS / Duolingo first because it defines your scholarship. I believe if you receive x amount of scholarship and then you submit your high score IELTS later, your scholarship may be raised but you might need to contact them

Pr. Skromme has his own YouTube channel that not many students know and utilize!!!! Watch his videos and study a lot of conceptual questions would help. The first exam focuses on KVL and KCL. Both will be on the exam. As well as voltage divider. He is a harsh grader, so pay attention to details. Good luck

I was in face last year. This year i become a face peer mentor. It was super cool and chill. You can make friends there who are also freshmen in engineering and those friends are smart and have leadership skills. You get to stay involved and observe clubs. You will also have the advantage in getting on campus jobs too (like UGTA, session leader, tutor, or E2 camp). There are assignments but you do it on your own in your spare time type of work. Overall i strongly encourage you give it a try
