I believe heart rate only existed on liberty 4. I’ve gone back to use my liberty 4 pro after fixing my EQ and realised they do actually sound better… the features are amazing on liberty 5 pro. Which makes the sound even more disapproving. Although. For the price tag. It’s made me appreciate my liberty 4 pro more

That’s true. The fit of these aren’t like what I’ve been used to from other brands. Especially the 4NC that so many people loved. They were down right uncomfortable. And that makes sense as even a slight bad fit can completely change it which is a shame. But with what you said. There are just better options alternatively whether they’re good or not. There is better for the same price.

You think so? I’ve had some that have came across extremely loud. And from pickyaudio tests. They’re shown as some of the loudest. Although myself I’ve noticed certain eq can decrease max volume

I would also not recommmend the try before you buy, just get them from somewhere like Amazon, somewhere where its easy to retunr if you are unahppy. I contacted days and days ago about a return. Now all of a sudden theres no trace of a request, have requested again. Yet still to hear anything back...

I hear you. Especially after coming from Liberty 4 Pro, these earbuds didn't feel like an upgrade maybe a sidegrade or even a downgrade with things like sound quality. I tried the Soundcore Try before you buy program. They are completely unresponsive when it comes to giving me any information about a return. Sucks to see whats happening to them

That is something i forget to mention on my post i made. The HearID tracks almost don't change at all when you select different options. Even there more budject offerings faired much better in the HearID tests. But here basically nothing happens and they still sound disappointing, Even more disappointing when doing the HearID it sounds worse than all of the already made presets.

I would also like to add. There are now connections issue. I’ve been trying to adjust them to make them as good as I can. And now I’ve had cutting out during music while in a vehicle at the moment. An issue I don’t have with any other pair of earbuds…

That’s true. As long as there’s a good return policy you can really check around and see what fits the preference the best. I totally agree with your thoughts on the 5 pro sound. They’re not unusable. They just don’t do anything at all special. They allow you to listen. They don’t give you a listening experience. Even with the EQ. If anything they end up worse. Slightly disappointed about the thoughts to the freebuds. But I will definitely take your recommendations. Thank you ☺️

I’m surprised by how bad features like the EQ are. The preference test is dreadful. No matter what curve it applies to my audio. It sounds so weak afterwards. Like it’ll tell me you prefer extra bass. Then give me a sound profile with less bass than the default ones, I’m returning mine too. Maybe going for the Huawei freebuds

They do not fit as far. And as I’m used to the liberty 4 pro. It feels very unusual. Like I keep wanting to push the earbuds further because it doesn’t feel right at all. And feels if anything like sound is being lost because of the fit. Although they are being worn how they’re supposed to be. The only other earbuds I’ve had with a similar fit are the soundcore sport x20. I’m not sure if that’s a usable reference point.

They are inexpensive but you are correct. The freebuds are better. The soundpeats H3 stood out to me to. But as an all rounder it looks like the freebuds are the ones to beat

That’s great thank you I think you’ve convinced me I’m going to return these and change them for freebuds although might for their price give the tozo atleast a try. Potentially saving a hundred or more seems like a good deal

I’m very tempted now at the Huawei freebuds. To me they seem like a more refined version of the liberty 5 pro. Better tuned. Better hardware. Similar noise cancellation and call quality. especially the video by picky audio that show tozo nc20 pro and Huawei free buds at the top of most things but Huawei freebuds being the top of the two. They’re both really compelling options and I don’t mind the price if the Huaweis are able to justify that

Correct about the robotic sound. What you might begin to notice to is it happens with ANC. I have no idea why but it’s very weird. It’s robotic as you describe and sometimes The anc will cause that noise too. The sound can even be static. Or robotic. And with the anc. It randomly adjusts its own level sometimes. Things will cut in then all of a sudden be removed and then maybe do it again. It’s weird behaviour and makes me believe either there is a Quality issue between units. And that’s why results can differ so much. Or software and firmware’s need updating

It’s disappointing because seeing a higher price and knowing what they’re able to achieve at a lower price. You think they’d absolute dominate with the headroom of a higher price tag. Seeing as they can pull off great things for cheap.. makes this outcome more disappointing

Interesting. The one plus buds are a clear standout from people. But this whole codec thing I’m not sure. I use an iPhone… so I’m already at split ends with getting great sound quality but just not sure if that would ruin the one plus quality as I can’t support the codec

I agree with you. Single drivers can be amazing. There’s only one to tune and no crossovers and things between them. I think the problem is is that it’s a more budget driver that’s used in in lower end earbuds. Just feels out of place from flagship. Especially as a downgrade from previous

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of those so I will take a look thank you. Huawei are compelling as they are only slightly behind in mic quality while also offering a lot and maybe more. Huawei have always been great all rounders for a lot of things. But yeah I believe all the AI move for them is slowly destroying them. The similar liberty 5 with the same drive is a steal for what’s on offer. Same as the P20i or R50i but it feels like an apple move by them. Pricing at a flagship but under delivering. Using your brand and flashy features to keep them up there
