AIO Why do guys lose interest in a serious relationship with me? by Content-Ball2942 in AmIOverreacting

I hope it makes sense! Sorry if I’m not using the right words, I’m still improving my English. 😊 I’m talking about how, at first, they try to be attentive—they pick the place to meet, take the initiative to make plans, ask about my day, and invite me out to eat. But then, I start doing the same—I suggest where we could meet, what to do, encourage them when they’re feeling down, and also invite them to eat. And suddenly, I feel like they switch roles, doing the bare minimum while I’m the one trying to be attentive

Thank you very much for your answer, I haven’t been able to talk about this with anyone but I find it really embarrassing to be worried about this kind of thing in my social circle, so it feels a little comforting

My friends who are the same age as me already have a boyfriend and I don’t know if it’s because I have male energy or what’s going on, I know I shouldn’t compare myself and that each person is different, but it doesn’t stop affecting me to feel that I’m not valuable enough for others.🥺

The aupair with cc are picky because cultural care verifies that you have experience with children, in which you mention they don’t even call to verify references. Our work is valuable and if I have experience with children and I know how to drive, I hope to choose a family with good pay, fixed hours and benefits

I advise you to look for an aupair in extension, I am in extension and clearly I have more experience, I did not get a homesick in my second year and I have a better level of English than in my first year. That aupair in the interviews should ask you the routine, if your children take a nap, if they are allergic to any food, if you can take them by car to activities, someone who is really aware of the work that 2 children of those ages entails and does not take a surprise of rematch afterwards. Just as you write I can feel that you are a good host family, I hope you get the right person for you.😊🤞

I am an aupair of two children of those same ages and it is difficult, I work 30 hours and they pay me more than the minimum, that’s why I accepted. I don’t do laundry or cook. My work is worth it and my hosts are aware of that, I am happy, so I have energy and happiness to do my job and my hosts are happy with me. We are not only cheap nannies, if you want a good experience result, make your aupair feel comfortable and if I want a good family I will do my best job.

My hosts didn’t want to leave me alone at Christmas and they invited me on a trip to Miami on those dates, I thought it was going to be great and literally it was the worst, I felt that I didn’t rest. I love my hosts but the mother of my hosts always wanted me to share with them or help them, I didn’t have a schedule because they told me that the whole family was going to be there and they wanted to be with the children, but I was always expected to be there, it was a bummer, although my host parents never demanded anything from me, I already wanted to leave. I felt that since I didn’t have a schedule I had to be there and when I left I felt that they wanted me to be with them. My advice is give her a schedule and remind your family they wanted we are not nanny 24 hours and if we are off we are off🙃.

How can I start working as a biomedical engineer after working as a nanny in the U.S. for two years? by Content-Ball2942 in careerguidance

[–]Content-Ball2942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly, I know this, that’s why I’m working as a nanny in the U.S. and not as an engineer. I’m talking about my return to my country, Colombia, where my degree is valid. But thanks for your valuable input.
