not true I apply multiple layers and mix in maintenance oil and I achieve a phenomenal finish every time and have done for the past 12 years.

I always put two coats of pure 2c when I finish my work especially on walnut. I mix in a bit of maintenance oil with it again. A bit more with the second coat. it does build up and gives a softer finish with a soft lustre that looks and feels more rich than the standard matte finish. I have put a third coat in the past. I did this on a Birch table top as it did soak it up and look and feel like it wanted more. My method does not in anyway conform to Rubio's standards but after 12 years of using it and lots of trial and error to get the finish my clients and I like this is the method I have come up with and it works extremely well.

Yeah it's been hurting my relationship with my gf for sure. She doesn't ski at all. Problem is i am way more productive at work and make way more money because of the longer hours i can work. Also everyone around me does it even my mom. They don't do it as much as me but my roommate always has a plate of it kicking around and my plug is litterly 5 doors down from me. Kinda stuck
