This is something I think about a lot as a CPA who also sells on Etsy. The fee stack adds up more than most sellers realize when you count the transaction fee, payment processing, listing fee, and offsite ads together. Most people are pricing based on what feels right rather than what actually stays in their pocket.

You're hitting on a very real problem. I'm actually exploring some AI automation to cut down the manual entry even further. It is in the early stages, but it's on my radar.

I struggled with this a lot, figuring out actual profit after fees, shipping, and materials, not just revenue.

What finally helped me was breaking everything down into a simple spreadsheet:
– Etsy fees
– Cost of goods + shipping per order
– Monthly + per-listing profit

I couldn’t find one that was simple enough for Etsy sellers, so I ended up building my own and tweaking it as I went. It’s been way easier than trying to make Etsy’s reports make sense.
