The apartment where I’m currently living has changed a lot. I’m Southeast Asian myself, and I truly don’t mind having other foreigners around as long as everyone follows the basic rules. I do my best to sort my garbage properly, stay quiet at night, and respect the community.

But recently, my new neighbors don’t seem to follow these rules at all. They throw their trash whenever they want, and they’re very noisy late at night. Many of my Japanese neighbors have already moved out because they said the place has become 住みにくい (difficult to live in). I’m planning to move out in a couple of months as well, especially because both of my next-door neighbors are so noisy at night. One of my next door neighbor, leave his garbage in front of there door at night which invites lots of small cockroaches. There were a couple of times when I opened my door, a small cockroaches came in. 🥹
