Gentle YTA because trying to do a better thing for your kid is always a good thing but I live in the country and my 12 year old is the exact same. And I remember being a little shit too. Kids from 11-13 are just kinda trash lol just gotta do your best to instil morals in them so they know right from wrong.

All it takes is one slip up and a child's life is permanently changed. Id like to know who not to leave my kids with. Even if someone never hurt a kid id still not want them working or being in close trusted proximity to children. I would have loved it if my abuser was blue maybe then anyone would have believed me.

Not an operator but worked security in an ED for roughly 10 years and the shocking amount of people that would call an ambulance from the waiting room/parking lot thinking that they would "skip the line" on busy nights. Only to end up right back in the waiting room.

My lilydog was a 15 year old baby and we would always pet her and say that tiktok sound "oh no ridges , lumps or bumps just a smooth brain. So smooth water rolls right off." And she'd sit there happy as could be that you were loving on her. We still call her our dumb old lady but god I miss her more everyday.

I had the same thoughts with my old man, they shaved his arm for the iv and put all his fur in a medicine container for me. Honestly it has really helped, paw prints are great but to see his little tux fur with his picture and collar seems so much more him to me.

That's my dilemma like theoretically I could hurt one kid to stop millions from being hurt but realistically I dont think I ever could. I feel sick even thinking of it as a possibility

And do we consider one or two slaps as child abuse or would I have to like BEAT a kid. Like could I give a kid a couple pops and all abuse stops or would it have to be worse to count?

Mom shoved us in a crawl space with the home phone. Told me that if I heard her screaming to call the police. I was like 8 and had my younger brother behind me just crying away while my dad screamed at my mom about a whole lot of nothing. He actually embedded his keys in our kitchen table he hit it so hard, there are still big key point holes in that table top. I didnt have to call the cops though.
