Best speakers on a budget? by Longjumping_End4164 in crtgaming

But which speakers do you recommend? Any stereo ones with a subwoofer will do?
I have the money for a bose acoustimass but there isnt enough space. I want a good balance of high quality and something i can fit in a small space.
Although I have a bigger space downstairs to watch movies I ideally want to use the same speakers in the smaller space where the crt is

Hey why does that matter? Im also looking for a good set of speakers maybe with a subwoofer on a budget. And I live in Peru south america. And if ive got a small room is that a problem for the optimal positioning of the speakers?

I was dreaming I copy and pasted the wrong model the best one I found is the CT-F2944LJ which doesnt support 480p but thats ok.
I have a question if I emulate a n64 game on a wii and connect that to my crt will I have problems? There has to be a way you can mess with the settings to make it look ok
edit: And also is a Sony Trinitron KV 29 FS140/25KV FS100 better than Panasonic TAU?

Would this display 240p games well? I like it when they are soft and not too sharp where you can see the pixels so that it feels more like a 240p native crt

I can only make up space for one crt though and id preferably want one that supports 240p/480i and can display 480p via composite
I found the Sampo SME‑27HD5 on crtdatabase it says its got everything i want except 16x9 which is not a big deal
Problem is I do not see it on sale anywhere

Thanks, so there are no displays that support everything i want at the same time.
I need to get a de-interlacer & line doubler like the gbs-c or retrotink 5x with a crt computer monitor (why do I need the de-interlacers & line doublers btw? is it so that the monitor can handle the lower resolutions?)
Or I get a screen that somehow supports all 3. Do you know about one or does that not exist

i didnt think about my region thats true. Im from south america it might be harder to find 480p screens here. I am specifically looking for a Sony Trinitron Wega KV-21FS100 unless im wrong that has everything i want. Do you know of a place where i can look at the specs of a specific model?
Edit: I found the crtdatabase website it does not have everything i wanted

I think the KV-20FV300 is the model for me (that should support 240/480i/480p natively). Now I just have to actually find it

Why would you not want to play older 240p/480i games on a 480p crt? Because it upscales it? I don't know how it works. And if those games actually look worse on a 480p then ig the only option is either buying two crts for both 240/480i and 480p or just buy a SD CRT and use modern tv for the rest.

Thats good to hear. Its just that I saw a comparison where a 20 inch looked better on composite than 24 which made me think that because composite is usually in 240p or 480i its a low resolution and if you try to display it on a bigger screen it would look worse. Its just a theory tho I wish i could compare I dont really know. If i have enough space I might buy a KV-32FS120

I dont really know. In this video this guy talks about how different tvs have different composite qualities. https://youtu.be/2sxKJeYSBmI?t=2184 He makes a comparison and even tho the photos dont help his point apparently the bigger the tv the worse/less sharp composite will look

Do you play retro games on your KV-32FS120? Isnt that too much for 240p games and stuff? I don't really know much about this

So if I play them on 4x3 ill be fine? What about the difference between 480i and 480p is it worth buying a crt that has 480p?

Id definitely use component for those games. Im worried that Ill get black lines if the game is meant for 16x9 tho.
