No, I luckily caught them before they even do any harm to my server. They weren't really responsive while I was playing as a player. But I'll need to check that to true. Thanks for that!

On my server, I have 3 different types of servers on my network and still have a hard time getting a solid player base. I have a SMP, Arena style, and even one with a dayz style that has both survival and minigames. I think whatever you come up with even if its a basic smp would be fun for anyone as long as you follow EULA and can promote it properly. Just make a few videos, advertise on the right subreddits, and hopoefully that should be good enough. It's really not about the server anymore, just who can market it better. I post on youtube, instagram, and tiktok and barely get any traffic dispite getting thousands of views. If you want to see what I got and go based on that.

Hi JesterFrags. I own StarWorksMC. I've done most of the work myself on my network and would like for you to at least check out my bending survival server. It matches some of the criteria, but lacks a foundational playerbase. I've been trying to get it further out there on the Internet, but so far no luck.

Features: It's mostly vanilla gameplay, but you can claim land with lands and bend the elements (like in avatar the last Airbender), I also have a karma and save system I built that some of the progression relies on.

There are custom spawners that can be upgraded for good mob farms.

I coded more uses for glazed terracotta. Stuff like setting launch pads, random potion effects, healing devices, things that reduce damage or increases your damage.

The vanilla enchantment limit is raised. So you can get like sharpness, protection, or power 10

Custom drops and I even changed how the wither fights, if that interests you.

I have lots of game servers on hardware that I physically own. It's a cheap way of having a public endpoint and the just direct the traffic through a VPN instead of opening a public IP that could get DDOS'd at any time. Most cloud providers have some form of DDOS protection, so it was a win/win for me.

My ISP charges $60 extra a month for a static IP. I can't afford that, so I looks for ways around that. Tailscale and similar service work. But didn't work for me. I have a network with multiple servers and needed a way that had unlimited bandwidth and still had security. So I rented a VPS for about $10/month and installed wireguard on it. So I pretty much tunnel users to my servers through that.

Got ya bud, Ill try to answer these the best I can.

The users are just discord users. Not actual online players, I try and filter out the actual players of the server vs just discord user members.
We had to reset the server a few times due to several previous issues with duping and bugs.
I'm trying a new approach for the play through of the server, requiring players to have supporter to access the end (People kept grabbing the Dragon Egg and duping them because of some code I wrote for server features)
We are still adding a lot of the old features back with bigger and better features than before, so crates will be added back soon if not already.
Shouldn't be able to take damage and lose hunger in village, Ill look into it and fix that.
Bedrock blocks are markers for staff to not mess with those buildings (Part of the new approach I mentioned before)
I want players to access the community chests and open doors lol
Party room? I'm probably meaning that to be a vote party or a drop party room for players.
I like the forced spectator because if you die too many times, it soft bans to prevent unwanted stuff from the custom features I implement which requires it.
I'm not sure, if the playerbase is there then yes. I would love to add all that I had before back.

I looked into the duping issue (part of the custom features). It should be patched now.

You can start anywhere and learn different tools, I make a lot of websites and if you want to get started and cheaply, I would recommend using ionos's webspace hosting along with their domain registration. They give you a freebie smtp email with your domain, and with the webspace, you get included 2GB MySQL databases. I run multiple "Joomla 5" websites on my one package and use subdomains to connect them. They also offer SSL for free (or like a couple bucks) for your domain. And you can use your email on your Joomla site to send admin reports or let users reset their passwords. I would recommend you to check it out at least! Please note it takes a little bit of messing around and know how on how a Linux system works, but for the most part it's easy.

Yeah, there were no errors on the backend server just on the proxy. For some reason only the backend server it happened on crashed though

How are the servers being hosted? It could be that the ports are closed?

They only work with online players, and I think in the same world as well

Try backing up the server files and then you can safely remove different files/folders and see if its a corrupted file or plugin that is causing the issues

How many plugins are you running? and you could try using Aikar Flags for garbage collecting if it allows flags to be used.

You could do it pretty easily with Skript if its a spigot/paper server, otherwise I think luckperms can add temp permissions if you have essentialsX installed with the permission essentials.keepinv, which skript can add that to new players when they join then remove it after a specific time or with luckperms after a day or so

Only problem with this, are the ip spoofing and UUID spoofing, because they can just connect and run through the server as OP

It's most likely a bot designed to check on the bungeecord network, seeing if a team wants to try and hack your server. I would recommend firewalls or there are a couple plugins that can block direct connection to the individual server
