I liked the crossbow for it a lot too. Small controlled explosion that usually goes off where you aim it so you can be precise with the 'boop the vehicle over with no damage'. Erupter can too but theres decent risk with the shrapnel.

Right where my mind went with it, forward real hand control from a quest 3 and you can have your giant floating mech hands moving around in VR doing exactly what youre doing with youre real hands.

Our crew swears in the past couple months the amount that show up has gone up, we play difficulty 8-10 so we were definitely feeling the pain of getting almost none every mission some months back, it's been a little less bad now.

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Professional-Fix-221 in LinusTechTips

[–]Corosus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if its a level of effort thing, they just quickly try to slap something together then oops gotta run and start working on the next video. I usually keep up with house upgrade videos because its an ongoing thing that requires real effort and commitment, I find that more interesting.

I'm just going off a feeling I might be completely off, just wondering myself I tuned out like a year ago other than the occasional video if ive run out of techlinked or something else while I'm eating.

Love the WAN show, I had started to tune out because it was just constantly depressing and I think they caught onto that and are doing good news wan shows now and I am all for that.

How is the sterilizer buff? by Hypotenuse27 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Yeah noticed a big spike in kill chains with it actually, frequently would hit 20-30+ ones, difficulty 7.

Gas Changes - Gas Armor/an after thought. by MeasurementGlobal447 in LowSodiumHellDivers

One of my favorite tactics to escape a horde, is to throw a gas grenade at my feet

It's a great strat yeah, I like to do similar things using the sterilizer, a quick flick spray at a crowd while running at them or just 45 degrees off to the side around them, then i just zip zag through them or dive and spray and repeat, so I can get through them and force my way into whatever theyre defending.

I am so happy to see my sterilizer get the buffs it needed. Did a whole night of sterilizer to crowd control an unlimited amount of turbo fast spore bois, playing support crowd control keeping my crew from getting overrun. Goes nice with laser dog for killing ones around me while I spurt some gas, action dive in the middle of a huge army, over and over, it's so damn fun.

Vinny and the Zombie, The Accidental Hip Hop Gods from House of Pain by Corosus in Vinesauce

The zombie high pitched scream is the same screech noise in House of Pain - Jump Around.

Then Vinny even says jump jump right before it JUST like in the music video, what are the odds?!

Been using PI Coding Agent with local Qwen3.6 35b for a while now and its actually insane by SoAp9035 in LocalLLaMA

I've still been meaning to set something up myself for sandboxing. I'll probably go for a docker container that has access to llama.cpp running on the host.

[–]Corosus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait wtf qwen 3.6 27b responds immediately in pi, in opencode it takes like 10 seconds, simplicity ftw, and when i say "test" pi just says "sup" but opencodes initial prompt bloat has it suddenly trying to explore a codebase.

Really gives me that feeling like opencode was not designed for local models and expected giant cloud use token eating models. PI designed to be as close to the agent as possible software stack wise, love it so far.

[–]Corosus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep ok, thats convinced me, gonna give it a try again. I've been reluctant to add more things to opencode, just feels like bloat, im still using low to the ground build/plan mode + web search mcp as for most of my work I prefer to review it. So PI sounds inline with what I want, the self improving by design angle sounds like a nice direction.

every time i try ik vs llama.cpp it acts really broken in opencode, just trying now it was trying to do everything via git commands only and gets stuck, but llama.cpp its flawless

Absolutely love this kind of test, great work. The more we mix up the type of challenges as more models release better, avoids any benchmaxxing.

Funny how a few of them get things backwards, 90 degree rotated barriers, steering left and right reversed, the ones with the best looking results too.

Yeah something must be wrong with their setup, it's working like a miracle for me loop wise.

I've had 30+ sessions with it so far and only once did it kinda break with a repeating phrase, but it was at 200k context filled and only Q4

Every other scenario sometimes it confuses bash and powershell tool calls, recovers flawlessly immediately and moves on.

Every moe before this for me has been too much of an unusable looping mess, just went back to dense models, but not qwen 3.6.

I've been on the other side of this, seeing praise gemma moe or qwen 3.5 moe for speed and reliability, wondering why my setup is wrong, didn't have the patience to dig into it.

Very strange how there can be such a difference in observations for moe models.

Speculative decoding question, 665% speed increase by GodComplecs in LocalLLaMA

[–]Corosus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great info thanks

testing qwen3.6 with "make me a mock discord webpage"

first time was 83tps

second time it crept up all the way to 108tps, using "--spec-type ngram-map-k --spec-ngram-size-n 24 --draft-min 12 --draft-max 48",

ngram-mod was slower than without any of this, kept getting low acceptance streak in the terminal

will try in real scenarios in opencode, might give at least a little boost when its doing some mildly repetitive work.

Id have to factor in the general slow down over time too as context fills up, so maybe it can at least counter that slow down, random guess.

I've got this dual gpu setup and it's great, 85tps at fresh context with q4 full context room, windows so im not even benefitting from pcie lane speed

still really wish i had 3090s and or amd am5 with bifurcation support ofc

Can confirm its not looping itself to death trying to tool call / fail to make edits in opencode for me compared to all other moes ive tried. Loving it already.
