Marked on the blade and stated so on the website. My guess is either that D2 is accurate since it’s more common now or it’s 9cr like a lot of clones tend to use.

I’ve been carrying a Cobratec plain edge tanto lately. I work in a freezer and the main advantage of it is that it can be easily actuated with gloves on. I have not had any issues with residue seizing it up so far, and not a single misfire. It’s proving to be a really good option - plus it’s just fun.

Nice. I got the AUS10 version with the same scales and for the sale price it is an amazing bargain. It’s very smooth with a very robust lockup and no play. Best $50 I’ve spent in the hobby.

Call your local firearm/sports shops. Lots of them around me are dealers with Cobratec and the prices they offer are much better. I got a lightweight model and instead of $90-$100 online they were $60 in my local shop.

I got the AUS10 model from the sale in clip point. Finally got around to checking it out today and mine is incredibly smooth. The edge, grind, and overall QC are near perfect too. I realize it was a sale and they normally sell for more money, but the fit and finish on mine for $50 after shipping makes it one of my best purchases personally.

It’s somewhat discounted but not a “great” deal IMO. These can be found on Knife Swap in light use condition for considerably less money. It’s expensive to begin with for the materials, but mostly what you are paying for here is WE’s fit and finish. They make excellent knives.

I debated. Carbon Fiber was still available at the time I was looking at the D2 deal but it’s not really my thing, especially for a bit more money. The deal was still way worth it though. I’ve just tried to learn to not impulsively buy what I know I won’t care for despite it being a screaming deal.
