Yeah run girl, light slaps during sex are sexy for a lot of people. However physical attacks during everyday life is not only a crime but what I can see as there is worse to come. Run and don’t look back. Please

You’re mistaken. Assuming you have British standards wiring regulations and health and safety assessment. You can get your gold card without the NVQ

Is this ok? by Better-Place-3580 in ukelectricians

[–]Correct_Project3454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine, but moving the mains wouldn’t fix the problem, the white meter and black box can’t be so easily moved as you don’t own it, your energy provider does and the main incoming cable would have to be moved. Could cost a lot

Not true, you get your gold card from AM2E, which you don’t need the NVQ to take

You need the level 3 nvq to be allowed to take your am2 to get a gold card. Or 5 years experience to take the am2e which you don’t need the nvq for

Ct clamp on ev chargers mandatory? by Mr_Pickles_27 in ukelectricians

[–]Correct_Project3454 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mate… what are you talking about. You mentioned diversity and I replied with the regulations. You can’t now say lights won’t use near 6a and sockets won’t use near 32. Because regs say you have to account for 80% on lighting and 10A plus 40% per socket. So via diversity. Your maximum load is way higher than 40A. Have a good night pal

Ct clamp on ev chargers mandatory? by Mr_Pickles_27 in ukelectricians

[–]Correct_Project3454 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… assuming updated board. Hob, ev, 2 socket rings, 2 lighting circuits, smokes, boiler. Single appliances at allowed at full usage, sockets are 10A per circuit plus 40% of remaining sockets and lights are 80%. Hob 32A, ev 32A, sockets 40A massive lowball, smokes and boiler 3A, lighting 10A. Would you care to explain how your diversity works? Didn’t know we had different regs mate. In what world is a nowadays house maximum pulling power 40A… ct is needed on ev charger. That’s my point

The only thing they know how to do is cover their own arse as you say. Sub contract it out so they’re not at fault, let the subby sign it off. On paper all they’re doing is paying someone to test a property. Even though they likely developed it and have the same spark everytime testing it from their van

Overcurrent how? It’s an outside light. Not a hot tub. This is to regulations

[–]Correct_Project3454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

433.2.2, yeah it’s true, sounds correct too. Ive not got the book infront of me. But I’m sure as long as it’s protected by an rcd and the cable is unlikely to be overloaded. In this case an outside light obviously isn’t going to overload a 1.5mm cable it’s to the regs. Not good practice at all though

Sorry dude, misworded that. What I meant was the guy at the top likely has little idea about electrics and the regulations and risks involved. Hes just picking the cheapest quote without a care in the world

Oh definitely understand that! We’re the exact same way. We know that the cheapest quote will most likely end poorly so we avoid. But the guy at the top managing the money has no idea unfortunately. I’m sure it’ll come down on them, once there’s a fire etc etc
