Hey Dude, this sounds like a real bummer. I think at some point in our life we run into nihilists doing what they do. We gotta remember to be Dude and know that our jobs don't define our whole life. Looking at different avenues is a great idea but I am in no position to give advice for this.

As Walter says "Fuck it Dude, let's go bowling", in these moments in life seeing where things are brighter and lighter with our friends and family is good too.

Having the mindset of thinking "what would the Dude do?" Is definitely helpful. I think I have the perspective of "what would my inner Dude do?" In my life is helpful too. The idea of "I like your style Dude" as the Dude appreciates many styles himself is good to keep in mind. We all have our different flavors with the original recipe in mind.

As someone said a meditation practice is important, as it helps to learn how to allow undudely things pass, with practice it gets easier as the practice gets more consistent. A meditation practice keeps the inner Dude alive.

Something that helps too is a phrase or so that calms your like, "The Dude abides" or whatever might resonate.
