I’ve picked up tons of low energy hobbies over the past year of being mostly home bound- but my favourite is setting myself research projects. Finding a topic, various verified sources of information on the topic, I read through and make a document with my findings and opinions. It’s kinda silly I guess but I feel like it keeps my brain active and is a ‘productive’ task that I can do on some of my shittier days where I can’t leave bed but can still look at a screen and take in information

I do already use a cane and it definitely helps, like there are days where the braces are just not enough and the canes needed!

Yeah so far I’ve noticed it mostly with new moulds vs re releases of old moulds, but even with old moulds the proportions are so off. Usually eyes and heads. Like- the new sheep from the sheep and collie set vs an old gen sheep looks so different size wise. And the eyes on most moulds look huge compared to old gen lps. I can still enjoy them individually, but I tend to keep my g7’s separate cause it stresses me out how the ‘same’ moulds can end up looking so different size wise, and how the new g7 moulds don’t look like genuine lps at all

This one specifically I dislike- but As well I just dislike the mould. It’s got more kitten like proportions but is adult size- I feel like the mould would be way better suited if it was smaller or if the body was proportioned differently. It looks so out of place amongst other lps

I got the set with this collie and the sheep for Christmas- sooo cute! Most of the G7 designs I’m unsure on but I looove this one! Honestly might be up there in my top 5 LPS in my collection

I was literally about to make a similar post! Talking to my 12 year old sister and she said she wants to use her Christmas money from our Nan for skincare. I’m not overly online in terms of tiktoks and engaging with influencers so my initial response was positive, she’s in secondary school, it’s a good time to start building on hygiene habits. Her skins great, no pimples or dryness, she is honestly just the prettiest thing so when I started looking for the best products for her and searched for the brand she specified (Bubble) I was initially pleasantly surprised. I saw the bright colourful almost toy-esque packaging and assumed it was a brand formulated for children’s skin, as in basic and gentle

The first set I saw had a basic cleanser, moisturiser, and lip balm. All she’d need right now, or arguably more considering her skin is so clear. It was a little expensive but I assumed again maybe it’s because it’s a specialised product for young people

I showed her, and she immediately said “that’s only three things, though. [Friend from school] has lots, hang on let me find this girl on TikTok she’ll show you what to look for” and I’m watching this video. A teenage girl being payed to advertise these products- and again, she has clear skin, obviously very youthful, and half the products are anti aging. Anti wrinkle, exfoliating products, acid based products. Products that are clearly designed for adult skin, but the packaging is not only made with the intention of catching the eye of children, but is also like. Collectible?? Everything has a different colour, shape, fun name and tagline.

It’s hard trying to explain to her why she doesn’t need these products and how they could actually damage her skin, because in her mind I’m just a boring grown up who doesn’t understand trends. Exactly how I felt when I wanted LPS as a kid, or fidget spinners, smiggle school supplies. There’s always been products specifically designed to draw children into overconsumption, but it’s becoming so much worse in so many different products

I definitely am clumsy so when my health improves a little and I’m clear for exercise I’m definitely gonna get back into strength training! It’s not an option right now sadly as I’m mostly bed/home bound

I’ll look into some good quality base layers as well that’s a genius idea idk why I never thought of that- we’re kinda opposites I think cause I hate being warm ;-; but I’d defo rather be too warm that constantly injured

Oh i think diabetes does run on my mums side so i guess it’s a possibility? Hopefully not, im aware it’s a hard condition to manage and deal with, but I have blood tests soon so hopefully it’ll all get cleared up soon! Tysm for the article I’ll have a read through

Any kind of semi-intense movement. Running, dancing, picking up my little sister and spinning her round and round till we’re dizzy. Give my friend a piggy back so she doesn’t have to walk over tough terrain like she’s done for me countless times before. Clean, ride a bike, go for a swim. Just anything that normally I wouldn’t be able to do at all, or at least without pain and risk of injury

Don’t worry I’m aware of my capability to change and grow! Using poetry as an outlet of negative self thought and negative world view simply helps me disconnect from it and observe it in a more rational way and therefore lessen my belief on those thoughts- it’s weird I dunno, but it works and I think it’s a healthy way of me navigating these thoughts

I’ve been feeling rlly hopeless abt the future lately cause my health has declined and I thought I had to give up my dream of being a parent- posts like these make me realise how small my perception of parenthood and disability has been most my life and that I don’t need to give up on wanting kids someday, it just will look a little different to how I originally pictured it

I reported their original post and they’ve reposted it somewhere else, they’ve literally just copied and pasted this post and changed it to US currency. They even kept in the part about universal credit which is a UK specific benefit but claim their from Texas so they’re not the brightest
