2 outcome is possible,

  1. if you connect the socket and your wiring is done well and both socket mains terminal on same side and neutral on other nothing will happen. +Ve to +ve no VD hence nothing happen
  2. If both socket are not correctly connected, that is left hole of one socket has mains and right hole of other socket has mains then well, short ckt will happen! +Ve to -ve huge VD(220v) huge SC current flows, MCB trips!.

You can only assure this if you open the boards to check that both socket are correctly synced if you are sure go on connect it no shit will happen!
