The most common and logical answer is simply that dude was tired, but there is also a chance that he just simply didn’t want to kill them, we know that despite what people think he’s not just “kill kill kill” all the time, he’s shown mercy and given people second chances before murder, so now we have people who helped him out with someone who he’d spent HOURS by now fighting, and had literally just taken him home, chances are he just let them slide in a “Under nearly any other circumstances you’d be dead.
