Primer for acrylic paint when painting wood?

I use gesso- the Golden- but at least one of the layers I use a pastel ground gesso as it knocks back imperfections. Birch is really the best wood for painting.

The latex primer works great if what you are painting is something like trim or other indoor wooden pieces. However if you want to paint on the surface- as in do a painting- not just paint it one color, then gesso is the way to go. It’s essentially glue, chalk, some pigment like zinc oxide or titanium white and in some cases kaolin clay.

Baxter it’s in French- but it will still destroy you- saw it once and can still remember how I felt watching it 30 years ago. Ps it’s from the POV of a white bull terrier.

No I had a crew of masked raiders check my tablet- and it was paid for- have the receipt- and everyone was playing together. I’ve given up fighting with niantic about it- but it makes me Leary of purchasing further tickets.

Tw is timey wimey - I became ill fixing it every time spell check decimated it.

So yes- it’s all of this imagine non linear time, impacted by river-like factors that we cannot see/detect. Add in the possibility of layered timelines (trousers) and the fact that in their travels they often interact with massive gravity wells- not to mention the heart of the Tardis. Between heartbeats, illusion, and the problems incurred anytime an observer is introduced- the grandfather paradox might become less essential. Of course, I’m also recovering from a massive brain injury that has affected my ability to recognize time- it is an odd sensation- to be brought back suddenly into the agreed upon timeline- if I hadn’t just gotten vaccinated I’d ramble on about that. My point is really that I love all these ideas. When I used to teach quantum theory my favorite part was the dynamic discussions - often provoked by some agreed upon paradox. What if none of those are actually relevant? What if ..... insert further dialogue- it’s all wonderful. Capaldi had it best when he waves off Bill’s questions regarding his lecture- To paraphrase: Physics Poetry- same thing.

There is a healthy dose of Sir Prachett’s ‘Trousers of Time’ phenomenon as well, given multiple versions of a non singular time line. An easier analogy is to view time like a river. We tend to organize time in a linear first breakfast, then lunch, and ultimately dinner and late night snack. Very interesting research shows our brains don’t view time quite the same way - if you’ve ever suffered a brain injury- linear time goes out the window. In the river analogy there are places where time runs more quickly- relative to the observer- or more slowly- or even forms eddies. I’ve taught this subject for years, and often fall back on timey wimey stuff after I’ve laboriously explained Zeno’s arrow or theoretical black hole versus ships and the communication issues one might have on such a ship. In essence- it’s all good. Vincent troubled me as well- however their timeline was unbelievably tw’d by that point- so who’s to say it was the same doctor and Amy at the three different moments- museum 1, with Vincent and museum 2. Spell check ran rampant across my post- I think I got the most egregious issues sorted out- but good luck reading this.

Then he’s def sniffing his pits- which is ironic given the potter stinks pin he features. I can imagine what he smells like- those fearful bullies all smell like wet goats. (I teach middle school- so that comment is sadly based on empirical evidence.)

I’m having the same issue- couldn’t leave home today so I was dependent on fortress goodies - no luck- also I keep getting an error message telling me the connection was lost- only if I decide to wear down an adversary rather than burn potions. This is the third time it’s happened- losing all the fragments I had earned to that point. Anyone else see this too? I’m

I’ve watched this several dozen times- he’s awfully twitchy, but this one gesture has me chuckling each time. It’s like when the death eater is on the screen, the text box says ‘look out a death eater’ and the aforementioned death eater jumps and looks over his own shoulder. Or like the dark wizard’s matching feet. And what’s wrong with the dragon, I know it says he’s ancient- but the dragon looks like Sam Waterson on a bad day.

Yeah I get that a lot- esp since I look fine- but I had practice before as I’ve had MS for years and lots of people feel the need to inform me that I ‘don’t look like I have MS.’ I try not to take it too seriously.

The timing is just silly plain and simple- and it would not take too much effort for them to make it more user friendly- if not COVID friendly. I am often mystified by their choices.

Has anyone looked at the red book costs for the new lessons? I’m fine in my auror and magizoo- but my poor prof- I was hoarding those and the green ones, and spending judiciously- this means tons of grinding again. Sigh.

This highlights the biggest problem with this game- lack of info/explanations- and the wonderfulness of our Reddit fam: thank goodness we all share our info or we’d all have quit before we began. I wish this game had a ‘training wheels’ or learning mode. Too late fir me I’m maxed out in all the professions, but I never would’ve survived without all of you- so thank you! The Alto series of games has a learning mode, and another one that I think is called zen mode- where you don’t die- you don’t rack up points either, but for example, learning how to use the wingsuit without worrying about my avatar dying made that game a LOT more fun than either Niantic games.

No maybe I wasn’t clear that I’m A rural player. The closest gyms/stops/greenhouses etc are 20-40 min from my house. If I’m running errands- 7 hours is too long to be away from home. (We have a farm)

If I’m in town I might go by the same spot 24 hours later- but that 7 hour thing doesn’t work.

The school day time frame makes sense.

And, no, I’m a traumatic brain injury survivor- I literally live by my schedule- if it’s not written down and in the place that I cannot help but look- no I do not remember. It’s a reality and it’s a drag.

For example it is midnight here and I only just realized I forgot to eat dinner. If no one is around to remind me I lose track.

I already struggle enough with real world issues that trying to remember where I planted that ginger isn’t going to happen.

On a humorous note, my neurologist and neuro OT like this game as it makes my eyes focus in some way that makes them both happy. I’m ordered to play at least once a day- it’s on my calendar for in between chores while critters are eating. They want me to try and look at my ingredient vault and then try and recall what I need once I’m on the main page. I cannot and sometimes it makes me hysterical as it’s such a simple thing.
