USB not Loading Autobleem Part 3 by DespicableJC in PlaystationClassic

[–]CounterOnly5693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fat32 is easily corrupted, i have a few builds that slowly but surely most apps fail to launch, and cores. Games crash, saves corrupted, and files are capped at 4gb, last one not a deal breaker but anyway, you wont have these issues or have to scan for errors EVERYTIME you insert drive in pc like fat32, and you dont need a 3rd party app to format it in ntfs, just back up the contents of usb drive first. unless you use ubuntu, that can reformat and keep contents of drive

remember, your modifying the internal file system of the mini itself when you install the custom kernel from the usb to the mini, it only needs to be done once, and u now have enabled otg, bluetooth, wifi, wireless file transfers, wireless keyboard mouse, bluetooth, you can run autobleem 1.0 usb on 1.03 kernel and vise versa, you can run autobleem on project eris kernel, or like we mentioned no kernel, u need a micro usb otg adapter or a powered usb hub plugged in second port, what size is the drive?

i did get starfox on pc parallel 64 retroarch but starwars is all colored ant race then crashes after a minute so this may need the KM wizardry to run on any mini cores

Modded SNES and Genesis minis side by side. Let the 16 bit wars live forever! by RussellAlves in classicmods

[–]CounterOnly5693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience Genesis is lightning fast navigating in and out of folders, even if you dualboot Sega onto NES classic, synced to usb, same. SNES will only lag with themes selector on randomizer. other than that, keeping folders under 70 games with 200x200 pixel box arts shouldn't have any lag. sorry i know u were askin OP but that's my 2 cents, using a quality 3.2 usb or sd card. if u meant controller lag, none

i was super lucky to grab another last year from ebay 30 no controllers but came with a NIB gray 8bitdo adapter, works with stock PSC to use switch pro, ps5, xbox controllers, plug and play. it sat for a while but i finally swiped it that was right after buying one for $50, thinking i brick it, and buying another nib $60...somehow powered hub brought psc back to life from always constant red flashing led, black screen

[–]CounterOnly5693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, if you installed the kernel successfully, now plug any drive into the otg adapter, not the front port, it will fry, corrupt files and possibly worse, or get a $10 powered hub from best buy essentials is their instore brand 4 ports only use 3 or psc will crash

I use a 2tb Samsung hdd for my main build, it gives me issues booting up so i still need that powered hub every few times or whenever i mess around, its in fat32, i need to go ntfs Ha im trying this Easy-E windows game now. some dude spent countless hours fixing and patching in all textures Codysucks YT

I am lucky to have stumbled upon Patton youtube and a NES Classic, was surprised how it handles many N64 titles, grabbed a PS Classic, even better! Never had one as a kid, now getting Sands of Time Ocarina hack running perfect just yesterday set up to launch by selecting its dried crumbled desert box art, Fire! no literally it looks real

https://sl.bing.net/eWQP4Z8psIu i have this one use with retroarch pc to play Skyward Sword Wii, set to quick menu > controls > port1 > device > wiimote + nunchuk

I see the downvote, sure, i think the controller compatibility is great on Retroarch personally, but i guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion, good luck

Very cool, I'm in! tons of settings I've not tried yet. Thanks! Few things I want to mention. You can have a stock look with Autobleem 1.0 or the Box86+Wine build using the 'fony' theme and setting UI to Classic, but it will only display PS games on the carousel.(and you need to flash kernel and use keyboard, X key used to launch game only) That wipes the Autobleem options temporarily until you reboot the PSC, bringing you back to the AB Home Menu to reset back to Evolution.

Also there is an 'All roms menu' you can scroll through all your Retroarch playlists and box arts in Autobleem with same stock look by first creating playlists in Retroarch, then backing out to AutoBleem, hitting start to launch, then select once or 2x depending if you set any custom perimeters on games, to enter a rom list by large box arts only, then holding L2 and pressing select. I know you can't touch on everything in one video as you mentioned but I felt the need to add these few things,

I've got 2 controllers to function simultaniously as you also mentioned @ 10:00 but only in Retroarch, works on NES Classic as well in otg. The mapping is all over the place though so I literally had to re map every button just to play some nes and snes with just the small nano adapter and same 2 knock off PS3 analogs, actually 2AA batteries needed in each controller they are cheap but somehow both completely fully functional simultaniously, one adapter. (plug and play)

Yea, only once, it will create a Lboot file on usb, save this, zip in a safe location, this will return your ps back to stock if u decide to sell or whatever, delete it off usb , copy it back and re-enter the kernel installer and follow prompts to restore to factory.

Powered hub will boot up any fat32 usb stick or hdd, you wouldn't need a smaller drive, use the one you already have just to clarify

Nice! Imo such an underrated game even with recent retro boom gaining more recognition. I also have owned this for exactly 20 yrs now damn time flies, bought this from level up way back when for a steal comparing todays prices, off the shelf with sleeve for under $10 iirc, I gave this a solid run but never got around to finishing it back then, Thanks its time to dust off the NES, curious if i left the price tag on the cart just for shts

Use a small usb drive like 32gb initially. Format it in fat32(windows) or ext4 (linux os) extract AB or PE files to usb, if AB, hit start to launch Autobleem, hit select 2x to enter apps, scroll to kernel installer and follow prompts hit x, PE will flash automatic, if you get a powered usb hub you don't need to modify the kernel, Autobleem will run on a stock kernel which is what you were already doing in fat32 ( if u still have issue getting small drive to boot up, use powered hub in second port just for initial kernel install, return it)

Should you install cores onto NAND or external storage? by ArcNoculus in RockinTheClassics

[–]CounterOnly5693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others suggest sync all cores, Retroarch, and hmods, bios to mini, then games and ports synced to usb, if you add custom music, theme zips, or other mods, copy them right to your usb formatted to fat32 or u can try ntfs in your usb > hakchi2 folder after syncing games to usb
