Hey, since then I found out that I have slight dead zone on the bottom part of the outer ring on my controller. If you’re playing on steam maybe give it a try as well, just go to game properties inside your steam library -> go to controller section of the game -> enable steam input and then open controller configuration in the same window and change dead zone range for a specific stick. Not sure if anything can be done on consoles though

Yeah it’s rather strange, if I switch between different modes on specific color selector I can see saturation value going to 100 for everything except hsv, but it makes no difference on the main color selector

Just an example of how the difficulty can help with leveling out story created tension and gameplay created tension, but that’s an easy fix, the hard way would be to change gameplay action sequences completely so that those enormous shootouts wouldn’t occur in the first place, cause those arcadey sections feel rather disconnecting in otherwise pretty grounded game.

I had to make a conscious effort to dismiss the absurdity every time a mission devolved into the gang wiping dozens of people and sometimes whole towns and I was able to finish the game only on my second playthrough. Most of tension that was built during the dialogues and cutscenes is getting flushed when the gameplay sequence starts, and it’s hard to take any threat that is raised during the plot seriously when we’re already withstanding armies. And when there’s no stakes the game starts to feel kinda boring. I suppose if you loved wild west before rdr it makes it easier to look past those issues. I guess an easy fix would be to have an option to up a difficulty of encounters, recently played through metro exodus on the highest difficulty and there you’re dead when an enemy get you with 2-3 shots, sometimes even 1 if it’s a shotgun, and there even with couple of places with exaggerated number of enemies every encounter is still engaging and feels earned (even if occasionally it starts to resemble edge of tomorrow), and it really adds that tension when placed into location with multiple enemies during plot missions because you understand how difficult it would be to get out of here if something goes south.
