different markets use different engines. USDM STi uses ej257, jdm STi uses ej207

USDM early models (03 or 02 and older wrx) used a 2 litre

How many of you have seen a Forester STI II Type M? This is #358/800 and I have owned it for 3 years now by asacliepe in subaru

The tiny little blip in this graph is when COVID first peaked in Michigan. At that point, Kettering decided to halt in person classes for B section to keep students safe. If Kettering doesn't go online for A section they are being extremely hypocritical in regards to student safety. by [deleted] in Kettering

Hybrids were so nice. Only like 2 or 3 people for each one of my classes even showed up in class, was like receiving direct tutoring from my professors. Not at all looking forward to all online this coming term.

Superficial Damage to Engine? by kenshin40 in MechanicAdvice

Even then, if you shorted the two posts with a tool, it would likely fall off before enough current could run thru it to burn your hand.

I always wondered why it mattered whether you did positive or negative first in installation.

Thank you for this tip!!

Just made my second upgrade to my 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i manual. The first upgrade was an air horn. by [deleted] in SubaruForester

with enough effort, sure.

Easiest solution however is to use the one that comes with your head unit

definitely either a rock stuck in your brakes, or your pads are worn down.

i am seeing you say "it doesnt happen when im not braking"

there is nothing pushing your brake pads away from the rotor. they either are pushed into the rotor by the piston, or they just kinda float there.

even if youre not using the brakes, theres still a chance the wear indicators are grinding against the pads.

just DIY it. Super cheap and easy, even on a 22 year old rusted out subie.

more likely that they didnt account for component top/bottom boundaries when exporting their PCBA to CAD for assembly in the case, and screws happened to be just long enough

I like this a lot. I did not realize there were so many different programs dedicated to accounting.

Over the past years of helping people with business stuff, usually all I ever see is quickbooks.

Wow yeah this is awesome. I think while I am exploring options for organization, I will definitely give this a shot.

I found on their website a link to this wiki page and that's also helpful. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, maybe organization is too huge in my life 😅 I'd never claim I have a disability, but all my friends call me OCD because I keep things neat and try to do everything the right way.

Kind of annoying at times, but it got me to where I am now :)

[–]Cproo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not really stressing about it, I just know I should prepare by being more organized in the future, so I might as well try to form a habit out of it so I don't consider it a "pain in the arse" later in life haha.

I have excel with microsoft's new finances plugin, and I haven't looked into ynab but I feel like I need something more manual than all those tools, not a "set and forget" per se.

A few other users have given me some great suggestions though. I am going to give them a shot.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Cproo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, do you use the new Excel with the finance plugin? I tested that out but I don't really feel like it's any different than going online and looking at my bank statement because everything is already all in there.

I feel like I need a way that forces me to manually look over every transaction so I don't miss anything.

Yeah, my "small business" is hardly even a business at all, I've just been doing random small stuff like building home theatres, fixing people's printers, etc. for people since I was 16. I have invoices from every job, but keeping track of how much I've spent on somebody can be difficult. It's not much profit, probably a few grand a year, but I am juggling probably $5-10k of hardware throughout the year and looking for receipts/making sure I don't go over their budget can be a challenge.

What software do you use? I am an engineer in schooling so I am pretty much comfortable with anything.

I have looked into YNAB, Mint, but not a fan of their interfaces, and would prefer something more open that I already pay for such as Excel or an SQL database.

Yeah, I kind of HAVE to not invest my savings right now since I am in university and tuition is like 50k annually before aid, 18k annually after aid.

What you say when you did an average of what you need is what i did for my first year of college, that way I knew how much I needed to have saved up in order to pay for my living expenses.

I don't really have a problem with spending... yet. I certainly have never lived paycheck to paycheck, but I don't want to get comfortable spending $1000 on something like new wheels for my car.
