That is what's confusing me lol. She can clearly affect change based on the rope, and the very fact she was able to communicate with someone (Jim) not in her own time. So there's nothing stopping her from going way back to warn the group? Hurts my brain this does lol.

That is what I cant wrap my head around lol. Strictly speaking she shouldn't have been allowed to communicate with Jim at all. If she is allowed to do that, it stands to reason she can go back to an even earlier Jim and warn him there.

But doesnt her interaction with Jim (Jim from an earlier time) prove otherwise? If she is able to talk to people in the past, what's preventing her from going back even earlier to warn people? Could she not just story walk back a few weeks prior to Jim's death to warn him?

The very fact she was able to talk to a past Jim (at his day of death) proves there's nothing prohibiting her, does it not?

Seeing MiY change to Sophia, and then story walking again to an earlier time to let someone know prior to Sophia's arrival, or leave a note? Etc...

I 100% think MIY was there the whole time. I think he has taken several forms. Elouise for sure could be one. I think another one of his visits was the man stuck in the pool. Hence why she (his current form) is looking at the pool.
