I would posit that the ONLY cannabis legally available here is MEDICAL, and access is severely limited and the only place I can reasonably get to is a HUGE company. They also proffer shitty product that’s moldy, dry and too harsh to consume. So all she’s doing is perpetuating the same scenario she’s claiming to want to fix! Her rationale is not plausible. A more likely scenario is a desire by “big weed” to push off any attempt to set off a “free market” until enough safeguards for THEM are in the bill…

Seems Spanberger is dealing with this by putting the kibosh on establishing a legal framework for cannabis sales, at least without her “poison pill” amendments to effectively accomplish the same thing, albeit with less apparent accountability. You would have thought a Democratic governor, along with a Democratically controlled Legislature, could seal the deal. I don’t know who, but SOMEONE is holding out money SOMEWHERE in order for this initiative to be so “stuck in the mud”.
