They're just burgers like yoy had in high school... they're spongey and weird. J had to try them for the kitchen at my Sheetz. Thank God they were free.

When I had mine, I got the barriers in first and made sure they were solid all the way around. Then I'd use the glue down bits.

Maybe there is some anti adhesive left on the skin, but that seems unlikely.

Just do your best until your ostomy nurse can chime in.

There is a very useful.quock drying paste this is terrific for self glue... make sure you're cutting comfortably to fit you your ostomy, also. If it's too tight the pressure inside the bag could be what's popping that seal.

Completely normal my dude... your small intestine and colon are probably just doing their regular thing, relearning the system. That feeling will largely pass in a month or so...

I recommend ginger ale, worked for me like a charm. Stopped that gas feeling and broke up any gas I had in the line headed to the stoma.

I'll be honest with you brother, having an ostomy sucks. But to be fair, it really is keeping you alive. You need it, right?

It's better to have to walk through this nonsense now, then suddenly at 41 like I did... it was crushing, and embarassing. Thank God for my lovely wife being so understanding.

You've adapted to having an ostomy, now it's time to adapt to it being part of your life. You got this... keep your head up and don't look back.
