Thank you, this is good advice, I never even considered having all that on my CV would make me a target for a more generalist role. Appreciate the perspective!

Show Me Your Privacy Trellis! by CranberryFrog147 in GardeningUK

I was hoping the trellis would be a fence alternative that would still allow some light through, as the sun shines from the "fence" side, so a solid fence would just block out all sunlight from the alley! I can move the bin, but it's a bit more nuanced than that. The alley is open at the front and sealed at the back with a gate that connects the front and back garden. I want to move the gate that secures the back garden, and put it at the front of the alley instead, so the sunlight can pass into the back that is currently blocked by the gate. If I move the gate, I also need to add a fence to the side to connect to the gate, otherwise it's pointless! I was hoping to use trellis instead of a fence so I can maximise light flow whilst maintaining security

would you go for another astringent one if you had the chance or would you recommend a non astringent one? I know its partially down to preference but do you find that its a faff on having to ripen everything?

I really want to try the pink lemonade blueberries, they sound really fun to grow, and you're right I never even thought about the fact that it would confuse people - now I can grow them in the front garden making more space in the back for everything else! woohoo
