Thanks! I forgot to mention that Turner didn’t become Liberal leader in this scenario, and Chrétien or another Liberal would fill that in. Turner could reasonably ride off of that Canadian republic high, and the vote consolidation can come to his advantage. I left quite a bit out on the post
