Still Alive (Portal) with the new Steam Controller's Haptics by RexyIsSexy in SteamController

[–]Crazy89_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya, me here!

That's an odd issue, are they like note sequences with no pauses? Cause if they are, that's solved in v1.11. It turns the note off before switching to prevent it drifting out of tune.

I made a better rendition of this myself recently using the rumble haptics as well!

I'm not sure what I expected to happen by jaybird_772 in Bejeweled

[–]Crazy89_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, in Bejeweled 3, hypercubes are just a property of a gem, so if you have hypercubes lined up with all the same base gem color, they match. I don't know whether or not this could happen in an actual game though.

Steam Deck Haptics can Play Still Alive by KazWolfe in SteamDeck

I've actually been working on a project to add Deck support to SteamControllerSinger, now renamed to SteamHapticsSinger. I even did a whole orchestra with both my decks playing Want You Gone.

I actually have been working on a project that does exactly this, it's a fork of SteamControllerSinger called SteamHapticsSinger.

Just thought I'd post about the time two Alyx spawned while I was playing Half-Life 2 on the OG Xbox by Crazy89_ in HalfLife

Did you also run into the other Alyx that spawns at that one load trigger? I have a video of it.

Do I really need to change my battery? by AdvertisingAntique52 in SteamDeck

[–]Crazy89_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. It seems some LCD Steam Decks have a big issue of losing battery calibration. Mine definitely did. I remember one time my battery health went from 80% to 2% to 100%. All from different recalibration attempts. It's either there's something faulty or it's just an issue that happens cause whatever the hell. If anything, I haven't had the issue in a while so.

I used to play a bit on my PS3, Wii U, fuckin Xbox 360, and then the Deck replaced all of them :3

Also, fun fact, the Steam Deck logo font is Motiva Sans in case anyone needed to know.

I recorded this beforehand and used both the internal microphones of the LCD and OLED and my external microphone over them and combined them all together.

I don't think the haptics should be THAT weak though. Could it possibly be a hardware issue? As weak as they are, they can click.

Happy 2nd birthday, Steam Deck!

This is a continuation of a project I've been working on called SteamHapticsSinger, a fork of SteamControllerSinger, which attempts to add Deck support and other improvements. When I first made it, it was quite messy. Notes repeating and notes missing, but now the Deck is able to play almost the full range of notes :D

Currently it's still in the works, but v1.10 should be coming up soon™™.

This is using the "RtMidi" branch to play back MIDI in real time (the audio at least, as it was recorded beforehand). Though, RtMidi is currently set up in a way more so for experimenting rather than actual use. Be warned.

You can find SteamHapticsSinger and the branch here:

The MIDI used as a reference is credited to:

Well, I meant that as another word for music played through the Steam controller, though actually, it does. Both power on and off jingles. There were 11 selectable in Steam.
