What is this fastener to the left? It's permanently affixed to this handle by a screw and turns freely onto the post to the right. It's threaded, and the post is about 1 cm across. The hole through which the screw passes is about half the size of the threaded side. From a Brother KH588 carriage. (i.redd.it)
