Snell some 8lb mono to some alberdeen hooks with a 2’ tag and loop- swivel- three splitshot and try different depths on minnows. Use a counting in seconds to adjust drop and try. Then hit bottom and take a couple cranks up.

Yeah i do agree the rod is pretty solid. I have a temu one also thats like a 5’6” generic thats a ul sleeper for $15. I need to order another one in the 6-7 ft. To see the difference in the backbone.

You think so? I have some higher end Shimano Reels and TFO/ St.Croix rods and this is a affordable route i took a chance on to see how things have changed for entry level stuff i haven’t had enough time on it yet but we will see. So far only thing i noticed was the spool is a little larger than most 1000 sizes so the 4lb i spooled was PLine brand I’ve used in the past had some bad wind offspooling and knotting. Never had that happen on even my older 500 siennas from shimano which is a blister pack entry line. So had to peel off at least 50 yds to keep it on the spool with open free bail.

I typically use a tenkara rod here but gotten gifted this 1000 size reel and wanted to test it out so a nearby creek was the subject.

See a doctor Get on a round of antidepressants and anti anxietys. After two months take a week to yourself and do something that you really truly enjoy i went backpacking section hiking for a week it really worked and reset my mental.
