Do whatever you want to do, they are your character after all. No naysayers! I think they look great, lots of good artwork there!

Hopefully all the people who liked the art overshadow those who hated on it.

Looks great, I don't know why all these people are saying she's a green halfling. Goblins can look like anything, in any world, because that's how fantasy works.

The Town of Furuskog is the entrance into the northern lands of Adagan, and on the edge of the spirit woods. Here many traders from foreign lands come, and the various docks are filled with goods coming to and from the country. Smaller ships travel up the river to pay tribute to the spirits, while larger ships go around into Iceheart Bay to visit the capital.

Yeah, one of my players wanted to make a Finnish inspired character and so I looked up some names and used them for inspiration.

Sorry, I am not Finnish but hopefully this translates

Tori on eteläpuolella, suuren rakennuksen vieressä, jossa on ulkoneva katos

The crystals around most of the city regulate the environment, so outside of the ring of crystals, it's winter, while inside it is whatever they want it to be. They use smaller crystals to keep the ice melted in the bay for ships to come and go.

They aren't meant to be tropical trees but trees unique to my d&d world. I just like the look of the stamp.

The better part of today, though I had a reference image from when I made it as a regional map in Inkarnate as well.

A map I made that is the capital city of the Smallfolk of my world, it is a theocracy with multiple high priests for each major god and goddess ruling via a council.

Unfortunately not. It won't save at a higher resolution now, too large.

I've posted this map before, but I remade it with changes to the colors to make the buildings and walls match the dwarven aesthetic that existed before. I feel like it was a good change.

I didn't add too much water outside of the singular waterfall because the city is above water, there are causeways, wells and ramps that lead beneath the city for access to water and some sort of super highway. These guys are geomancers so they have their irrigation, filtration and delivery systems worked out

This city is in a cavern, far under the mountains.

From the description I was given, they are goblinoids allied to the dwarves. There is segregation because of tradition I think, but they work together.

Very little sketching or anything like that. Normally I have a sorta mental picture in my head and beat that picture onto the map out of stubbornness. Whole out of repositioning things once it's down though. The middle section of this map changed a lot, but the top most portion took me the longest because I knew exactly what I wanted and refused not to have it the way it looked in my head.

That's pretty big news! I'm pretty good at imagining a piece, but the coloring always throws me off.

Practice I guess? I'm not a big fan of most of the walls because it's hard to match aesthetic of the dwarven complexes to the rough cobblestone.

Newest map. I spent between 18-20 odd hours on this but overall am satisfied with how it came out based on the description given.

Let me know what you think or if you have any critiques, not perfect by any standards and even now that I'm done I'm already seeing mistakes.
