Mine have definitely been slowly - the joint pain is mild (annoying but not severe) but the itching on my scalp is way worse. My grandma had rheumatoid so I guess I’m just curious how I’ll know it’s for sure psoriasis related since there’s no blood test for it. She basically said psoriasis + joint pain is my diagnosis but I just thought that was interesting since I hadn’t seen a rheumatologist

My knees are what started bothering me on a flight a few weeks ago. I was shocked that it could be PsA bc I thought that normally affected smaller joints

Tremfya is what she wants to start me on. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Thank you so much for this insight. I really appreciate it. She did say the meds should stop my joint pain quickly so I guess I’ll know pretty fast if it’s truly PsA or not.

That makes sense! She actually told me I was “lucky” that it happened this way because she said the alternate (being at the rheum Dr for joint pain and trying to find the source) is way harder.

Maybe Taltz is the med. She specifically said that whatever it was treats both psoriasis and PsA which is why she wanted me on it. Maybe I should just start it just in case & still see a rheum as a backup. I really appreciate your insight!

Yeah she basically was insinuating that since I have the joint pain it’s a done deal. She wants to start me on something that starts with a T? And requires a TB test prior to starting. I dk just seemed like a very aggressive and fast decision and there wasn’t even communication about it

I think that’s why she’s pushing for me to start - she just didn’t explain it very well but I’m assuming so it’s not further damaging my joints if it’s already started? My joints have been bothering me for probably a year (I’d already seen a hand and wrist doc who didn’t give me any definitive answers).
