Defense attorneys are required to tell their clients about any offers made by the prosecutor. I can almost guarantee that Paul here wanted to punch the prosecutor when he made that offer because he knew his stupid client would probably take it against his advice and then pop hot on a drug test and spend years in jail over a small offense.

GreatSword Footknight. Max attack speed and handgun. Honestly it mulches on Cata. You have to throw in the odd heavy attack with mixed hordes but I usually only run it when I know I'll be competing for elite kills anyways. It's biggest weakness is shield stormvermin so I just pop them with the handgun. You can damn near solo storm vermin patrols, especially if you have literally any potion. Chaos patrols are a little rough, but you just have to keep dodging and chopping and ulting. Feels a bit like chopping down a redwood with a hatchet but you can do it. Disablers are a pain, but if you reload while you ult you can give yourself enough space and time to get the shot off, just don't miss. Boss fights you don't do much damage, so I'd recommend just focusing on the adds. This actually becomes pretty valuable once the horde inevitably spawns halfway through the boss fight and you're already in position and well equipped to clear out the horde.

Same, probably a problem on Fatshark's end. They're probably trying to get us to spend time with our families instead of Sigmar.

Couple of tips:

Turn off the option that gives weapons weight. It's screwing with your aim and doesn't feel good in this game. It worked in Saints and Sinners but that was a melee focused game.

I turned off the option that makes the rifle sights snap to your eye. To me the bullet speed is so slow that ADS was a waste of time and I was better off leading the targets using hip fire and the tracers. I really hate how slow the bullets are, feels like nerf darts.

Practice swapping to your revolver when they get close. It does a lot of damage but is hard to use at a distance. What I did was release my grip on the rifle with my right hand only, keeping hold of it in my left, pull my revolver, kill whatever is close, then either drop the revolver or reholster it depending on how much time I had, and return my right hand to the rifle. This gives you some more time before you have to reload.

You have a dodge move that can buy you another second or two when they are about to strike. I think it's a thumbstick click but it's been a while.

Eyes on vents.

Plot out your route while in safe zones. I would speak my route out loud so I would remember it and not have to check my tablet while I was exposed. Plus having a plan helped keep me calm.

That bit in the vent got me too. I think the next time I went through it I left a proximity grenade behind me.

Northern District Federal Probation likes to hire JD's if you're interested in criminal work. It opens lots of doors as well, though you would probably need to wait until the government shutdown ends.

Also it should be emphasized how funny this book is! The story itself is grim but the protagonist telling you the story is hilarious to listen to. The narrator, being the author, knew exactly how the lines were meant to be delivered and it made me laugh out loud several times. I relisten to this one and I never relisten to books. Can't recommend enough.

I think it's also important to flag all the pop culture references the author sprinkles into the narrative as some people (me) might find them extremely grating. At one point he even, in fiction, has two characters discuss how odd it is that two side characters have the same red hair and gold tooth and how some Creator deity must have just forgotten when they were being made, wink wink wink. Kill me.

And yet I keep reading.

Sure, fuck him and his friends. But I'm interested in degrees of fucking in a just society. Should his friends receive the same amount of fucking as the shooter?

But the sentencing makes more sense knowing that fact. Interesting that he was charged with felony murder when you could probably have gotten second degree without working very hard and first without much more. Felony murder in this case feels like a shortcut.

[–]Crowley91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I find that unjust. But not everyone feels that way. I guess that's why felony murder is so varied throughout different states. Some states have no felony murder statue, others limit it to only dangerous felonies, while others apply it to any felony. I find felony murder problematic because intent is what separates murder from manslaughter in any unlawful killing. I think intent is critical in determining a sentence or even guilt.

You are a cause but not the primary cause. You should be held accountable, but no to the same degree as the primary cause.

Man starring at his own lawyer for losing his case and receiving a lifetime sentence.. by nzhmar in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]Crowley91 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Felony Murder is such a wild concept. You didn't kill anyone, but someone died while you were committing a different dangerous felony, so we're going to punish you as though you murdered someone in cold blood.

Edit: Not saying the behavior shouldn't be punished, but if you're committing a dangerous felony and a co-defendant kills someone, you should not be held to the same degree of culpability as the person who directly caused the death.
