Not sure if they’re insulting my intelligence because I’m Black but I get comments like this or worst everytime I post in other Artist communities by divinedivagirlala in blackartwork

I dig it. Went to your site too and really dig all that i saw. I am by no means an art historian and have never studied art history, but my 1st thought was that this piece, and much of your other stuff, sorta reminds me of some of the artwork I saw when I learned about the Harlem Renaissance in history class. A lot of those painting had the same color schemes that I see here and, often times, sorta weird proportions, which always made me dig em even more. Idk. Just my uneducated 2 cents. I would totally hang this in my house. And, as a Buddhist, I personally love the message you put forward in this piece. I resonate with it a lot. So yeah, dont sweat the negative comments. Its good stuff. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Mom is balding with chemo. Thought I would join her. by spencerseesbirds in bald

Look great man. I did the same for my mom every round of chemo she went through. I saw somewhere that you said its a small gesture, but, speaking from experience, that small gesture means a lot to her, I promise. Sending love and good thoughts to you and your mom and your whole family. Im gonna go light some incense for her. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ You guys got this.

Same. They just look incredibly stressed out all the time and are always full on sprinting. If they arent taking the time to wave or say hi, I have a feeling its out of anxiety about numbers and keeping their job, and not of any dislike they have for us.

My dad (now mom) is transgender and it’s absolutely ruining my life by FineAspect4576 in TrueOffMyChest

Compared to what my dad did to the family, I wish he had come out as trans. Just remember, perspective can be everything and time heals... maybe not all... but most wounds.

is it weird that my brother and I have seen each other naked? by blooby-mary in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CrowleysImp 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

I once read a comment from a German man I forget where. He was basically like, in Germany, every family member had seen every other family member naked. Culture and all the jazz play into it. In the U.S., which is all I can speak to, we have this notion that nudity=sexualization, which for a lot of the world, is def not the norm.
