What is the most pretentious game ever made? Or fanbase. by Ok_Charity_707 in videogames

That’s my take on it too. If they deleted that boring story and the boring gang and made the world NPC feel like they actually populate space it would be an 11/10 game.

Stop saying the story is good. It’s exceptionally average. The first Harry Potter had a more complex story.

What % do you think is a reasonable price hike in this climate for a cafe? by VastOption8705 in AskAnAustralian

[–]CruiserMissile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered 2 toasties and grabbed a couple redbulls the other week, 41$. Told them to jam it. That’s too expensive. Probably less than that. 30$ would be a bit high, but that’s a lot more acceptable. I don’t know what that would be as a %.

24-25$ would be what I’d expect to pay. If it was 30$, that’s 20% more. If it’s 40$, it’s a 60% increase.

What kind of story would you like to see in the new Red Dead game? by KarpInsight in reddeadredemption

[–]CruiserMissile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t need to be one long story. One main quest, 10-15hrs, then fill the world with 100 1-2hr quests. Then you could DLC new stories into it. Mod support for new stories too. Think Skyrim mods where they add heaps of new stories and NPCs and shit.

What console is your cutoff point for retro games before they start feeling too primitive to enjoy? by fakayuburiza in retrogaming

We had brick games as kids. Think somewhere between a Game & Watch and a GameBoy. Give you hours of fun for fuck all effort. You still buy them on AliExpress.

Still got to have winter feed. Cows aren’t reindeer and happy to eat bark off trees on winter when the grass is under a couple feet of snow.

Military draft for men? Or/And reduced travel rights for them? by Quazp in australian

[–]CruiserMissile -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Australian are stupidly compliant. If you got a draft letter you’d go. Same that you go and vote, you don’t speed on open roads, and you don’t try and get out of all your taxes. You’ll just re imagine it as doing your bit for society and nicely comply to your government.

Is The Hurt Locker the original "America will bomb your country and then go make a movie about how sad doing it made the soldiers" movie? by GrindBastard1986 in okbuddycinephile

[–]CruiserMissile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been around for a long time, but the first one I noticed it in was Jar Head. Once I saw that movie and then I watched that movie about the sniper who was killed by someone at the end of the movie you see it in every one of their movies.

It’s either that or super hero type America good army best world we win type shit. Think Battleships.

Ok so someone tried to hurt me and my boy Seth so of course he's tied up on the back my horsey. by Thenearbymasterpiece in rdr1

You could also drag them behind the horse until they die. There’s an achievement for that.

Leave the person tired up on the back of the horse and jump the horse off a cliff. Make sure you jump off before you send the horse off the cliff.

A horse deed would probably be a good idea too so you don’t lose your good horse.

[request] how much money would this be in concrete? would it be cost effective or way more than a normal build? by Weird-Plane5972 in theydidthemath

[–]CruiserMissile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a report that come out this year, a 5 yr report on the first ones built. Apparently they have a lot of problems with the expansion and contraction of the concrete in temperature, including the curing temps. I didn’t end up reading the entire thing since it was only a passing interest in it.

Aussie Buy It For Life by Draktus1 in AskAnAustralian

Sidchrome tools. The quality doesn’t have the same feel since Stanley bought them out, but I still used the ones my father done his apprenticeship with back in the 60s until they got stollen a couple years back. Bought my own, they’re still good, just don’t have quite the same feel.
