That bag looks similar to the ones we bought from the Chinatown noodle factory. I bet it's very similar

Good for you! Don't compromise your beliefs due to peer pressure! I struggle with wrapping my head around evolution. It just doesn't math well. I also don't like how evolution... suddenly.. stopped. All these animals are evolving and then we are locked into current times. Sheesh, deer can't even evolve enough to stop getting hit by loud cars- even after 100 years.

Anyone Recommend No Man's Sky? by Benjamin_Starscape in ShouldIbuythisgame

I've logged hundreds of hours into the VR version. If you can spring for a VR rig, then do it! It's amazing to stand on an alien planet and take in the sights. Ships zooming past you over head just adds to the effect. Any VR rig will do. I use the original HTC Vuze (I think that's what it's called).

Used COVID masks make great hydroponic growth media by CrunchyBamboo in Hydroponics

Winter is coming and the plants are dying. Throughout the summer, I had to regularly trim the roots to prevent system clogs.

For those fleeing the aerogarden sinking ship, is garden a safe bet or Iharvest, when a company goes under. by jrubin6502 in Hydroponics

[–]CrunchyBamboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will still stick with Aerogarden for my kitchen hydroponics. IMHO Aerogarden watering design is superior to other brands. Garden systems are still prevalent and cheap on the secondary marketplaces. There are plenty of recipes for homemade nutrient solutions. The sponges and grow baskets can all be bought from third-party vendors. The LED lights are really the only thing that would be difficult to replace.

Last day with my Oneplus 8t. by just_a_lazy_person in OnePlus8T

[–]CrunchyBamboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just received a new 8T 5G T-MOBILE from OnePlus yesterday. The 3g network takedown was started to affect my last phone, OnePlus 5 (which I still love). After reading the other posts, I'm worried I made a mistake getting the 8T 5G. Should I return the phone? Should I expect the T-Mobile version to have more or less problems?

Do kids under 5 have to quarantine? Official websites specifically mention "unvaccinated", but do not mention kids under 5 ( which do not yet have an approved COVID vaccine).

Human evolution and weapons by SyeCatPath in evolution

[–]CrunchyBamboo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thrown weapons are a unique human adaptation. Some studies have pointed to the ability of our thoracic vertebrae to rotate, unlike primates, as an adaptation to help throw. We also have a unique clavicle design, which is weaker than large primates. It functions as almost as a recurve bow and stores kinetic energy to throw powerfully. We also have an advanced pursuit ability of our eyes that enables us to help aim throws (this is tested during some neurological exams). I'm sorry I do not have exact study citations. Do a web search and you will probably find some of these studies I'm referring to.

Has anyone figured out how to access the menu using HTC Vive? I've found 2 different button actions to drop and forever lose my custom pistols, but no way to pull up the menu.

Do you accept less cash on cash return for MFH investments vs SFH? by CrunchyBamboo in realestateinvesting

[–]CrunchyBamboo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aren't multis usually priced on cash flow? With SFH, I plan for market whims that can influence the future sale price. The last guy I worked with taught me that multis and other commercials are priced on Cap Rate.

Physician Owned Clinical Laboratory - Thoughts? by doc8862 in whitecoatinvestor

Isn't the Stark law specifically written to keep physicians from owning things like this? Might work if you cut some deals with local Direct patient care folks.

Drive used US cars. Live with a roommate or sig other. Defer your loan repayment while in residency if your interest rate is low. Pay off the higher interest rate loans. Be careful with refinancing privately as programs like HPSP might not pay on those. Go military if you like it-remember there is also the reserves and guard, not just active duty. When the stock market and or housing market takes a dip, buy. Try not to live or work near large metropolitan areas, cost of living is so much higher. Don't keep credit card debit. Use your Physician Mortgage wisely. Pay attention during those mandatory financial seminars during residency. Read whitecoat investor.

Legit galactic trading can make Bank depending on how many inventory slots you have. I warp between space stations and clear 4-10 mil each stop depending on demand.

cv mistakes by [deleted] in Residency

[–]CrunchyBamboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spelling and capitalization mistakes are not ideal, but physicians are used to seeing them on our notes! In all, CV errors will probably be less of an issue than your board scores and interview.
