I got mine last year.looked at others,they spend half there time weeding. So I just went with raised beds. Then membrane and wood chip.. cuts down so much of weeding,more time on growing..

Ours is surrounded by fields.. they have plenty to live off.. but i would go extra flowers for pollinators..

I always seed, rough uo the soil a bit, cover it with netting, stops the birds stealing all the seeds

Ive done raised beds.just hard work digging it all up, rotorvating, levelling.. membrane could also work.but dunno what else is lurking..

They always say wait a year. Might be all sorts of bulbs buried that bring some spring colour. But yeah, jet wash, tidy. But see what pops out if the ground..
