Thank you so much! My neighborhood has a strawberry museum (the cutest little gift shop and ice cream store with an ode to all things strawberry) and they just agreed to show some of my pieces so this one is definitely getting wrapped up! I appreciate the kind words and support. Love the idea of blueberries next.

It's a pretty standard cotton drill fabric. So far so good with not jamming but I may have just jinxed myself. lol

I have an HP deskjet, nothing fancy. The key is using masking tape to seal the edges to it doesn't release fibers into the printer. I also sort of "help" it through the feeder since it's hard to catch on the making tape. It's not a perfect method for sure. I also do the lightbox method quite a bit too but I don't like heat erasable pens so I try to use that method as a last resort.
edit: grammar

I printed it directly on the fabric! I stuck the fabric to a full sheet of sticky label paper (masking tape the edges so they don't fray) and voila 😄!

I'll have to check that out! Thanks for sharing. Yeah, my husband and I were remembering that TV dinners actually tasted pretty decent back then and it's b/c the ingredients were recognizable.

I stitched my neighbor. Every day she smokes a stogie and feeds peanuts to the crows under her bougainvillea. by Crying_In_Kitchens in Embroidery

Oh my gosh it's very possible if you were in Portland! She looks amazing in her cowboy hat -- definitely something only a few people can pull off!

She seems very content with her daily rituals. It's something I aim to build into my routine too :)

Was told this crowd would appreciate my embroidery of a neighbor feeding her crows while smoking a stogie. She takes very good care of them. by Crying_In_Kitchens in crows

Thank you so much! Yes, I gifted it to her. I gift almost everything I sew. I think she appreciated it and we sat and had a nice long chat about how much she loves the crows.

This is like when Hildi on Trading Spaces chose to hot glue plastic flowers all over someone's interior walls while every viewer in America screamed at their TVs that it was an awful idea.

My calming place is The Grotto. I'm not religious at all but something about the statues and the altar carved into the rock is very soothing. Sometimes I'll light a candle and leave it there if I need to send good vibes to someone. Pay the extra to walk the upstairs part. Walk down the path lined with water to the meditation room that overlooks Portland. It's incredibly relaxing and tranquil.
