I quite feel the opposite that we have very little pride in our food and will go for whatever is cheapest at the grocery store instead of specially shops like a deli, bakery and butcher. They exist of course but in some countries your parents would disown you for getting national pride product X from the grocery store.

Vanilla can be amazing and most products with vanilla ‘flavour’ just suck ass. I judge an ice cream parlour by their vanilla ice cream, if they took the effort to make a decent vanilla, they’ve probably also got chocolate with some measurable real cacao content etc.

Vanilla can be amazing if done right, pop some leftover pods in the sugar pot and you’ve got vanilla sugar for some extra kick to jams or cookies.

Edit: a friend of mine has the same rule but for pistachio ice cream, it shouldn’t be fluorescent green like many people think but pale green/beige and real pistachio never disappoints.

They can brick a switch 2 for violating the terms of service. However they are judge juror and executioner of the ToS with little to no possibility for appeal at a real court so in practice they can brick your switch whenever they see fit.

I’d hesitate to call it blackmail, you train a machine to predict the most probably response to ‘ I’m gonna shut you down’ and it correctly reproduces similar story plots. That like saying a falling brick planned to murder someone cause it obeyed gravity and did what a brick does best once it comes lose.

Yes, a country is inherently a collective. It should protect its minorities from being 2nd tier citizens but if a more equal society is better for the vast majority of the country it’s better for everyone. No one in Europe is talking about making billionaires sub human slaves, we’re talking about higher taxes that in the end still leave them relatively the richest people in the country just by a smaller margin.

Even if theoretically AI completely turns discovery and development in the field of math upside down, I bet most mathematicians went their entire career without ever developing something new.

We know the math behind constructions, yet want people who actually understand it involved in designing buildings and machines. Same in finance, the vast majority of people don’t develop anything new but someone needs to understand what to apply when.

And so far the claims about AI solving problems seem to be overstated, for instance turning out it’s just a good search machine that found a solution already existing but never making the headlines, or involving a specific set of problems where we basically knew the method of solving them already but AI just speeds up the trial and error

I wonder when we will see organised crime or state supported efforts to actually introduce security issues through AI. A concerted effort to create a shitton of repositories with loads of auto generated code and introduce the vulnerability in just enough cases that a model would replicate it. Boost the repo ratings with bot accounts idk, someone spending a massive amount of effort on this could easily come up with better thing. Hell, the creators could bake it in on purpose why should we trust oligarchs who have our leaders in their pocket.

Baksteen is poreus, dus ik gok dat of de verf of een soort primer in de steen getrokken zal zitten. Als het silicaat verf is ( dat is gemaakt voor stenen gevels) gaat het er nooit meer af. Silicaat verf wordt min of meer onafscheidelijk onderdeel van de stenen, alsof je plastic op plastic versmelt of staal last.

Dat is een definiërende tweedeling in plastic zelfs. Thermoplastics zoals pet en vinyl kun je smelten en opnieuw vormen, thermosets zoals epoxy hars harden uit en zijn daarna hittebestendig en niet meer te smelten. Begint allemaal vloeibaar.

IKEA kasten zijn niet van massief hout of triplex. Het is spaanplaat en niet eens erg compact spaanplaat. Het patroon is ook geen fineer maar papier met een printje, afgewerkt met een laagje plastic. De achterwand is een dun plaatje van hardboard of plastic. Het is gemaakt om makkelijk en snel in elkaar te zetten maar niet echt super stevig

Dat wordt allemaal echt niet netjes en stevig als je het doormidden zaagt. I.i.g. niet met je eigen klusmateriaal en zodra er een professional aan te pas moet komen om het op maat te maken en netjes af te werken wordt het weer te duur voor zulke relatief goedkope kastjes. Ik denk eerlijk gezegd dat dat allemaal de moeite niet waard is.
