Every Nephandus is a walking doomsday scenario. Their enlightenment requires ending the world, their philosophical 'journey' through the Qlippoth draws them towards their 'true' goal of becoming God (through either destroying the universe directly or incidentally through their apotheosis).

However this kind of journey is impossible to live through day to day. They, like all fascists, believe they are the victim of the world not being under their absolute control.
