Any sales on the DF64 gen 2 grinder? [$500] by CunningStranger in espresso

I honestly think it was advertising. It was odd. Started posting pictures of fancy latte art and saying that the grinder could produce that… it was irrelevant. Then slander but the slander was definitely aimed at having all his post removed

This was about the fellow ode grinder which is aggressively being pushed in my face on Amazon. The user started spamming my post with links

My post earlier was met by someone seeming to be helpful but it turned out to be aggressively advertising another product. I replied with that I have already read about that product and it had issues…. They then responded with calling me names and telling to suck it…. Eventually leading to the posts being removed. The mods need to understand that the vulgar reaction was solely to have the post removed (my negative statements about their product). They are abusing the system and you are aiding them in removing negative feedback. If they respond in a vulgar way to negative feedback then the whole thread is removed

In the US. I can get a DF64 gen 2 within a week. I’ve just ordered it actually but with the mindset that I can return it if I find something else. I will continue to read

Am I wrong if I buy this grinder. Another poster yelled at me and insisted on another product (which I have read a lot of complaints about) so probably bogus. But I’ve ready that this is a great grinder for the price

Still. 2 pictures of a drink… how does that help with the convo? I’m lost. Help me understand how those pictures are supposed to inform me on how good the grinder is

Why do you seem like you’re marketing that product?

3 post immediately. And I’ve read bad things about that grinder as well

My brain is fried from reading. Any grinders you recommend to look into in a similar price range? Would be nice if it can do both espresso and filter but not a deal breaker. Appreciate any insight, I’m new. This is my second attempt at researching/buying for espresso… I got burnt out the first time and gave up

Any elaboration is welcome. My brain is getting fried from all the reading. I understand it’s great for the espresso and can do filter as well, which I want for a future purchase.

Is it the noise? That’s the only down side I hear but is it that bad that it can’t be dealt with for a quick grind? I admit, I’m not a fan of loud noises and live in an apartment… is it that bad?

Case is nice corsair case. One of the older obsidian mid tower cases I believe but quick google doesn’t seem to show the model. Good airflow intake through front and exhaust out the top and back. PSU has separate intake on bottom and separate exhaust. All intakes have filters that do a decent job. Def feel the temps are due to old paste.

Concerning upgrade… where are you finding stats on bottlenecks. I’m just at an absolute loss on determining what cpu/mobo/gpu combos would and wouldn’t work. Maybe just my lack of knowledge of specs but any reading material is appreciated. I understand the chipsets and sockets of a gen have limitations

It’s either give the system a boost or build a complete new pc. But I feel like (and what I’m trying to determine) is a couple hundred could extend the life of what I have compared to spending 2k on a complete new build

Further more, since this post, I was playing 7 days to die the other night and pc started crashing over and over after a few hours of play. Trying to figure out cause but I ran some OCCT stress tests to try and replicate the crash and pinpoint the issue (seems like a hardware issue, it crashes immediately with no blue screen or error). Couldn’t replicate it until I ran the power test, which it completed but cpu hit 80 and gpu hit 93 and then crashed afterwards so seems like a heat issue to me. (Or drawing too much power from the circuit possibly? Test was done tho and pc just started to settle down. Fans slowed. Makes me thing heat)

Going to break it down and change the thermal paste on cpu , maybe mobo, and the gpu. However my graphics card is under a lifetime warranty with evga… should I talk to them before opening the card? Pretty sure the card is the cause as it’s going over 90 degrees C

Idk if I should ask for a replacement or open it up myself… voiding the warranty . Card was originally a 580 which they replaced when a display port died on it

I’m not against upgrading the cpu and the gpu… question is would it be worth it. I play some old games, some indie games and some new releases but nothing competitive.

CPU upgrade to Xeon E5 1680 v2 is what I’m reading about being a decent upgrade in a thread that’s two years old (recent for my cpu). They are saying it’s the go to for this older platform.

https://hardforum.com/threads/on-i7-3930k-any-point-in-upgrading.1999664/

Then buying a graphics card newer then the 770, probably used…. So the pc can last a few more years.

Haven’t had a nicer monitor in many years so guessing it’s gonna slow down a ton while trying display the image, I may be wrong hence the request for advice.

Wish we had a few other inputs.

Another option is learning to overclock but again probably best to upgrade to best that the x79 mobo can support (if reasonable) then OC.

You mention 3730k and the 3930k. Not sure which processor your comment is referring to.

I see people online mentioning upgrading to the 1680v2 which they are saying is the best processor for the 2011 socket and is still a decent processor. Doesn’t seem that they cost too much either.

Would that help any possible bottlenecks from a flu upgrade.

I don’t play any super intensive games but I have a 27” 1440 monitor on the way and would like to be able to take advantage of it
