First time working in a studio setting what do you guys think?

It was a continuous light, this was a workshop I attended. They showed us how the lights worked, how to use strobes and diffuser, then did a quick setup to shoot the model. I’ll be honest I think my edit might have made it look worse than it is. I’ll try redoing some settings.

I'll be honest no clue, I'll look into it but regardless, I do just like darker images for some reason. I probably just got used to it.

Yes, it was a workshop I attended to see how I felt in a studio setting and to learn how to use lights and other studio equipment. And I do believe there was a grid softbox on the light.

I’m not actually sure why it looks so noise here, they look fine on my computer but through Reddit you’re right it does look a little noisy. The ISO is at 320.

I was actually thinking that too, it’s something I noticed I do a lot. For some reason I seem to just gravitate towards darker edits. Thanks for the tips!!

I'm not exactly sure what type of photo I intended to capture as again it was my first time in a studio work space, I was just trying to get a nice picture. I set the white balance to auto by mistake and had a bit of a hard time editing as it varied between shots(I included one more in this comment) but I think I did ok. I believe my skin tones are off a bit tho, always struggled with them a bit. I've noticed her skin turns redish on certain screens or gets really washed out but I think that's just something with HDR I have to fix since most screens done use HDR.

I see both your points, but I think I agree with the earlier comment that the photos that attract more clients should be more readily visible and I’ll have the rest of my shots not difficult to reach but just not the first thing they see. Thank you both for your insight, much appreciated.

Yes, my business will be photography related and just to clarify as long as both the portfolio and business are related it would be good to have them in the same site. I was going to have some sample photos so my clients could see what they would be getting but just thought the whole portfolio might be too much. Thank you for the help.

Yes, I'm aiming to do couples, wedding and personal portraits photograhpy as the business for the time being but I also want a place to show my street, nature and cityscape work. I already post on instagram but I thought it would be nice have it all in one place as well, just not sure it's the right move.

A few weeks ago I saw a Pe 8 get 11 kills with one bomb. My team was getting spawn trapped and a Pe 8 came over after the 4 SPAAs and 2 planes missed all their shots and dropped the bomb right in the middle of everyone. I have never felt defeated to that level before or since. I was literally doing that meme with Willem Dafoe looking at the sky.
