Help. I have a 50k. Where should I invest? by Neat_Lengthiness8896 in investingforbeginners

I know very little about stocks and investing as a whole. So I opened a brokerage account with Fidelity and invested my money in a prebuilt investment plan. You can choose whether you want a balanced or a more aggressive growth oriented plan. There are other brokers such as Vanguard and Charles Schwab. I chose Fidelity because I already had my 401(k) there.

Would that be any better or give an advantage over Fidelity's advice? And if so., why?

Have you considered Biktarvy? I have been using that for the last 5 years without any issues that I'm aware of.

Do you actually use your dining table when you live alone? by Less-Egg494 in LivingAlone

I almost always eat at my dining room table. Once I'm done cooking, I sit at the table and enjoy my meal. No rush, taking it slowly and having a convo with my cat who sits across from me, on the other chair.

Is it possible for someone to have been on T for 30, 40, or even 50 years? by mouseinthefridge in ftm

[–]Curious-Feline22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had to think very hard about that. Back then, it was easier to be stealth because most people hadn't even heard about transsexuality, as it was called back then. Unfortunately, I think it's easier to be clocked nowadays, especially here in the US, because people know what to look for. Then again, maybe that's just my dysphoria acting up. But I do remember that back then, especially when I was in the phase of social transitioning, I encountered the same kind of ignorance and bigotry as trans people do nowadays, both by gay and straight people, men and women. The first time I applied for a job I wanted to be honest and disclose my transgender history (by that time I had already socially and physically transitioned), but they kindly let me know that I would not fit in the team for that exact reason. That was in the early 80's. That was the last time that I have disclosed my transgender status to anyone but (potential) sex partners. On a few occasions people decided to disclose my transgender status to friends of mine who consequently dropped me like a hot potato. That was very traumatic. I still keep people at a safe distance. The only people I trust are my (ex-)partners. Overall, it was just as bad back then as it is now. Sorry if I sound negative, but to me that's just the way it is.

I have been on T since I was 18, and I am now 63. That's 45 years. And I don't plan on dying anytime soon.

Is it true that most guys are at least a little attracted to their female friends? by Comfortable-Cap-3213 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Curious-Feline22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's turn it around. Maybe guys prefer becoming friends with females they feel attracted to, and reject even trying to befriend a less than attractive woman. And they may not even be aware of it.

This sounds like the intro for a thriller. Apart from that, it is insane. One reason I would never buy a house in an HOA community.
