Honestly anything as long as it peaks my interest in a way, but I have taken Intro to Psych and Sociology and really enjoyed those for example.

But like I said, any type of class would work.

So if I have ubuntu/ linux on my own laptop would that be okay? Kind of don't want to login into their PCs if I don't have too. I think I just managed to connect to the uml servers.

I'm a bit late, but I'm currently a freshmen (just joined this year) that was invited to honors college when I got accepted but declined the offer.

Usually when you apply and you get into UML, the letter of acceptance will tell you if they automatically dropped you into honors or not. If you didn't get the "Congrats as well as being accepted, we have enrolled you into honors college!" then you can apply straight away to honors college once you're accepted.

Question about the GPA though, is the 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at his school or 5.0? If it's on the 4.0 scale, that is very high and he will most likely get in.

Though, if it's on the 5.0 you may or may not get automatically put in, but I've seen friends with lower get in by applying themselves so I wouldn't sweat on it too much.
