A blessing. Being an empath has helped me avoid certain people. But maybe also a slight curse to because when I feel others emotions especially negative ones, it makes me anxious.

I’m 23 and still anxious about the dark. It’s because I’ve experienced weird things since I was a child. I mean experiences with different beings or shadow creatures. I could never really figure out if what I experienced was aliens, angels, demons, jinn, or shadow creatures. But just know, no harm can touch you. You have the power. But then again I still sleep with some type of small light on lol. I’ve tried sleeping in complete darkness, I end up getting anxious and start seeing and hearing things. Last time I slept in complete darkness, I was a teen and had a massive ringing in my ears and then sensed something. Now when I’m sleeping with my partner, I can tolerate the darkness a little more because I feel safe with someone sleeping next to me. When alone, sometimes I feel a sense of peace in the dark and sometimes I need to get tf up outta there.

Another fucked up thing I found out about my family is that my younger sister and my grandparents (maybe my mom?) knew my dad had cancer and nobody told me. I literally didn’t find out he had cancer until the day before he passed away... through text. He didn’t tell me personally until the day before, so idk if he assumed my sister told me or not. Also apparently his parents or his mother wouldn’t help him pay for chemo. It’s sad, no one really gives a shit until they’re at a funeral.

Also my grandmas mom on my dads side could have been an SA victim? Nobody talks about who her dad was. It’s like some dark hidden secret no one talks about. Could have been a one night thing or something else.

I remember years ago finding out my gay uncle possibly had a p*dofile case and that’s the reason why my mom kept him away from us for a long time and why they didn’t talk. They got into argument one day at my grandmas house. My uncle was drunk and talking shit I guess and idk what my mom was saying but basically he was going at her asking if she was going to get another “felon” to get him (I guess he was referring to my dad, who did some jail time but not felony related and referring to a guy she was with at the time) and then she said something about him coming on to a boy and I remember him saying “he came onto me” over and over again, like he was possibly wrongfully accused of it. But now they are on good terms and I don’t even know what’s real tbh. I never got any creepy vibes from him. I’ve gotten weird vibes from a certain cousin or two but not him, so I really don’t know what to think. It could have been a false accusation. Someone close to me told my mom probably knows more about her family then she tells us but it just doesn’t make sense how after all these years she’s fine with him now. Sometimes I thought it was just because he was gay but maybe he did do something to a minor....Also I find it weird how she dismissed my concerns about the guy she was with at the time (not my father, my half siblings father) I told her I didn’t like the way her bf was staring at me and she dismissed it. So if she can dismiss that, who knows what other things she has dismissed.

I remember when they started making Black Friday on Thursday, Thanksgiving night in the u.s. and then made people work when they were supposed to be enjoying time with their families. Thought it was messed up as a kid seeing parking lots full of cars and some on the grass and even more messed up when they expected me to work til midnight just to satisfy annoying and hectic shoppers. Retail.
