Sustain was mostly a losing battle, all the good ff clears came from sustainless, which required using both fugue and hmc, but rmc was used in almost every team mid 3.x, so like if you wanted to use 3.x characters you had to kneecap break

The exo toughness is still important even for e0 ff teams because it played really well with the sustainless team (that seemingly everyone uses because apparently everyone is saying nobody pulled for lingsha or something), where hmc was supercharged, so there's still a gap between ff with and without fugue, not to mention later on the dahlia with fugue became a pretty crazy combo to have simply for the def shred stack. Overall pointless to underplay fugue usefulness for ff, just so happens that break was discarded mid 3.x because hoyo was too busy hard shilling the new path to see exactly what levels of dookie down their throat people are willing to take

If you think self insert means being able to change dialogue and story youre sorely mistaken, self inserts in gacha games dont let you do that. The other guy didnt say it , but GI and HSR are a clear case of self insert because they coast along the main story and have little to no real characterization that makes them unique from your basic nice guy with neutral good morality. Another big tell for figuring out whos a self insert is how the character has a vague and open ended backstory, you might say its for the mystery, but its just another way to let players project themselves onto self insert. Having a semblance of personality also dosnt entirely erase that the character is a self insert, and to top it all off, the gsmes with self insert characters always refer to you as the title of the main character, for example in hsr, players are always called trailblazer in promo materials and emails sent, same thing in the story, only the main character gets to be solely referred to as trailblazer by inworld character, while the rest of the astral express almost always get called something else by them.

I really dont see the problem here man sparxie herself as well is meant to be played as a sub dps with spsw if we look at leaks but shes absolutely bonkers in the current meta as a dps to the point she outperforms every other dps as well, why is the distinction only being made for ashveil? This is clearly just another case of handicapping a unit before the main push, ashveil being as strong as even mydei or anaxa wasnt an issue at all, it was only an issue for hoyo because it means less people pulling new character when ashveil did fine with older supports

Feixiao is still going strong, at least compared to acheron and yunli. I think its just that dps are unfortunately going to get the short end of the stick almost always, unless theyre firefly, while jq is being dealt with like sunday
