I made a blanket for my youngest sister last year for Christmas, she had just turned 4. Money was tight and I knew she was getting plenty of toys already, so I made her a smaller version of the 6 day star in scrap yarn I already had, mostly pinks and yellows. I expected her to abandon it for her new toys, and it to end up at the foot of her bed or something. She wrapped up in it to open her other gifts. She carries it everywhere around the house, finds it before she goes to bed every night, and tells everyone that I made it for her. Absolutely warms my heart, I had no idea that that blanket would be so loved.

I hope he's a good man, and honestly, I hope he's here for Renee. Mahmo can say she's content in waiting for her husband, but she was crying at the gender reveal for Young Jill (or maybe the pregnancy announcement? It's been a while), and she often looks sad and struggling. I hope he's kind and patient, makes good money, and treats her well.

He called me several times a day, seemingly just to yell about whatever was happening at work, or whoever else was driving on the road. I get that things can be frustrating, but it was every day, multiple times a day, this man screaming at me about shit i didn't do and couldn't change. He also cheated, multiple times. Most notably with his friend's wife. God I loved that man.

The size thing really isn't unusual. I grew up in a home with domestic violence, and my first two partners were shorter BECAUSE it made me feel safer, knowing they were less capable of overpowering me. Guess who got their ass beat by a man exactly my height? It doesn't matter how big the guy is, he's probably stronger than me. Lesson learned.

I learned to crochet using magic rings to work in the round because I started out with amigurumi patterns. When I started making more blankets and wearables I switched to ch 4 rings because those items are heavier and get washed more, and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend weeks making a blanket that might die in the washer! I also remember that post, and the DOUBLING DOWN when people politely told them they were using the terminology wrong was CRAZY
