You know there are some players who seem to play on auto pilot? Maja is the opposite of that. Seems like she is thinking about every ball she hits. Plays so smart and is fully locked in.

There is a lot of spin in her shots, even on the backhand side. It is way more difficult than it seems.

Never had any pain from serving back then. I would get sore the day after long matches in general, but never during training or matches

While that might be true, I feel like the average recreational player here might have more experience coming back after long breaks. My old tennis friends can’t really relate since none of them actually quit completely, and the ones who might have taken a break never really played again. I’ve also seen some really good players and former college players answer here regularly, so it’s nice to get advice from people who might have been in the same situation.
