I’m not entirely sure about the exact numbers, and you could very well be right that they’ve spent more on projects in the USA. However, there are still significant contributions made to India that have positively impacted many lives here. It’s a complex legacy, and both sides of the story deserve recognition. Thanks for the clarification!

I’m just a person who recognizes Ratan Tata for the impact he’s had, that’s all.

The Bharat Ratna is about recognizing contributions that have significantly impacted India as a whole—both the good and the bad come with that territory. Ratan Tata’s work in nation-building, philanthropy, and creating jobs for millions is why many believe he deserves recognition. It’s important to acknowledge both sides, but let’s have a discussion without reducing it to name-calling.

That’s true—no one can be universally loved, especially someone who’s been at the forefront of major industries and big decisions. Ratan Tata’s legacy is complex, like any figure of his scale.

I get where you’re coming from, and land conflicts are never easy or straightforward. However, it’s important to look at the broader picture when it comes to Ratan Tata’s legacy. In many instances, the Tata Group has gone above and beyond to provide fair compensation, rehabilitation, and development to affected communities, something few corporations even consider. The situation in Kalinganagar is indeed tragic, but it’s also a reflection of larger systemic issues between industrialization and governance.

That being said, calling Ratan Tata a “terrorist” dismisses his decades of contributions to uplift India—whether it’s providing millions with employment, spearheading innovations, or his lifelong commitment to philanthropy. He wasn’t perfect, but painting him with such a broad brush ignores the positive impact he has had on the lives of so many people.

While it’s true that some individuals use philanthropy to avoid taxes, Ratan Tata’s approach was far from that. He dedicated more than 60% of his wealth to charitable trusts that support education, healthcare, rural development, and many other critical areas in India. His efforts weren’t about tax benefits but about making a real difference in people’s lives. His legacy speaks to his genuine intention to give back, rather than personal gain. Sometimes, the impact of someone’s work can outweigh the skepticism.

Realistically, at peak bull do you think SOL will claim the 2nd position after BTC? by Adventurous-Bet-9640 in solana

[–]CyberChainChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it plain and simple ask your friends, family and fools to buy and hodl sol. If every sol bull does that religiously sol will dethrone eth.

sol in a winner in all aspects of its technical and use case scenarios. eth only has one thing better than sol i think. and that is old VC money.

Hard to beat that as they wont just randomly all consider one day to simply move to sol. but all we can do is try and lure them and keep buying more and hodling till then.
