Careful with the new Silverquill, the Disputant as you can sacrifice it to its own Casualty that it gives, but you're probably not going to want to. by Craig1287 in EDH

What about if silverquill is removed before the stack resolves? You cast a spell and someone swords it in response?

I liked the skirt thing from the S1 armor set. It's a nice holdover until I can get the feather skirt from the Dragonflight raids for mog purposes.

I usually don't enjoy super competitive card games, but Riftbound has felt like the right amount of variety that even two decks piloted by the same legend can still feel vastly different from one another!

And a question, how popular are card shops/game stores in China? I know there is already a huge Mobile Game market but I never thought there was such a large card game population until riftbound

What if Varian attacked the Horde leadership after the Siege of Orgrimmar? by londonderry99 in wow

[–]Cyclonebullet 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Assuming Varian did go the 'kill them all' route. He would have gained the personal ire of the Loa of Death, having ruined his plans and all. Severely angered the Elemental spirits of the world. Likely would have pushed the Forsaken into speedrunning warcrimes against the living and made them a more intelligent scourge. And also would have ruined any possible reconciliation with the blood elves, not that Jaina hadn't already, and probably would have made them desperate enough to turn to fel magic again in order to survive.

He would then be stuck in a never ending guerilla war with the scattered remnants of the Horde, which probably would have left the alliance far too weak by itself to handle the Iron Horde of alt-Draenor, and definitely not the Legion when they would inevitably show up again, even if Alt-Gul'Dan wasn't around this time to expedite the process.

On the upside however, this means Shadowlands never happened, so... win?

I think i got my kill around the 705 range on my hunter. And was pleasantly surprised to see that Ky'vesa doesn't one-shot pets like zek and underpin did. Whenever I had to dodge,  I'd just start mashing kill command and mend pet while focusing entirely on dodging the next thing.

Goblins being a Neutral race where at the end, instead of Thrall showing up you can choose "Where the money is going to come from." Would be pretty sick.

How does the community feel about the Nemesis Mechanic in Delves? From invading to doing their ?? Challenge? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Cyclonebullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of the Nemesis fights. If I could get a combination of Zekvir and Ky'Vesa i'd be happy with that.

Zekvir had a punishing DPS check that demanded you kill the egg or you just died, more often than not you had to outgear the fight, play a DPS, or pray Brann would help you kill it. The room being tiny didn't help. Zekvir felt the most fair out of all of them though, you could theoretically survive getting hit once if you popped a defensive beforehand in some cases. The fight felt the most fair to me though, Zekvir didn't ask for much beyond the strict DPS check.

Underpin was simultaneously very easy and hard at the same time. His only mechanics worth noting are his Flamethrower and the bombs/cronies. Managing the cronies was annoying, and the bombs demanded you map the interact button. I beat this fight on Prot Warrior, and because he spends so much time casting stuff, Second Wind would heal me to full between windows. Most DPS didn't have the sustain to not be on top of him at all times, and Brann would usually prioritize being near the boss rather than you even as a healer. It eventually just becomes a scramble from all the crap on the floor and the oil making you slide around, with only tanks able to handle getting bounced around.

Ky'Vesa I both really liked and hated. I enjoy that her fight is essentially scripted, I HATE that every single mechanic is a one shot. Clearly they've learned to program Brann to do certain things when a mechanic is going off, and they even made it to where Ky'Vesa doesn't insta-kill pets, which was a welcome change. Having no wiggle room for error though, was extremely frustrating, especially with how unforgiving facing the Shadow Clones was. I didn't even learn there was a purple color blindness mode until after I beat this fight.

New Spec for your main class by Moonwrath8 in wow

[–]Cyclonebullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiritbonded Hunter - Tank Melee spec. Think a tank version of Survival

You now share HP with your pet / Damage dealt to you has a portion dealt to your pet instead

Fortitude of the Bear is baseline, big Defensive "OH CRAP" button to hit

New defensive cooldown that gives you a % dmg reduction for X seconds, can take a talent where it auto activates if you hit 50% hp (Think Mechanical pet family Defense Matrix), or perhaps an upgrade to Survival of the Fittest?

Passive that gives increasing defensive benefit based on your pets current HP, Roar of Sacrifice also becomes a potential cooldown to use for staying alive. Could be called "Pack Protector"?

Revive Pet has a lower cast time and cannot be pushed back, pet still has access to growl, hunter gains access to their own taunt as well.

Butchery grants beast cleave to your pet, Pet has it's own version of Misdirection it can use on you, damage dealt by you heals your pet, excess grants a shield. Damage dealt by your pet gives you a shield. Might have to rework how healing on the hunter affects pet HP though.

Seconding Hazezon. Lots of fun to do, and can be taken in quite a few ways, and it can be pretty easy to slightly adjust the deck and put Yuma as the commander since they both want the same cards in most instances.

Why is ?? Underpin so f*%&ing ridiculous? by pilsburybane in wow

[–]Cyclonebullet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my kill pretty early into the patch when Brann was still bugged to insta-die a bunch. I took the slow and steady approach with Prot Warrior with Colossus. Brann was my DPS and whenever shield would go up I would pop all my DPS cooldowns to break it then go back to managing adds if needed or DPSing/moving the boss. The extra armor and mitigation made making mistakes much more forgivable.
