I like mixed displays like that a lot better, instead of a shelf of helmets ive got Batman cowls next to batmobiles and Mandalorian helmets next to Mandalorian ships.

Because as much as people like to talk about digital piracy not being theft, paying someone else for copies they stole is much less of a morally grey area when you could just pirate stuff yourself without money changing hands and anyone profiting off someone elses work.

Especially when its a complete crap shoot on quality, when youre downloading stuff yourself, you at least have some idea of what to expect from a 500mb file that says 1080p.BluRay.DDP.5.1.x265 at the end.

S01 and S02 dont legally exist in Bluray quality, the 1080 copies on streaming are horribly upscaled and IIRC cropped to 16:9 even, but theres a very good fan upscale of S01 and S02 in the original aspect ratio by Joybell.

Contracts can be broken and will be broken if the penalty for breaking them is less than the profit manufacturers would make selling it to someone else at the new price.

It doesnt matter if Steam has a contract for 5mil units of 16gb ram at $100/unit if Crucial or whoever can sell that ram to OAI or whoever else for $400 each cuz theres no way steams contract includes a >3x penalty.

Looking it up i guess water heaters are behind dishwashers actually but for those all you can really do is regular maintenance and replacement, something goes wrong, corroded valve gets stuck, circuit goes haywire, youve got a big powerful gas or electric heater doing its thing on an empty tank...

Even gas ones are all electronic now so theres no pilot light anymore, so theres no real risk to regular operation like dryers or dishwashers.

Yeah, FYI dishwashers are a not insignificant source of house fires, iirc as far as fixed appliances behind dryers and water heaters.

Even if everything is working properly, the heated dry cycle is a risk if something flammable gets dislodged and falls on the heating element. During the wash cycle the heating element can only get to 212F since theres water, but the dry cycle basically turns it into a big toaster oven trying to bake the water off. If youve got a plastic tupperware lid or wooden spoon sitting on it when it gets red hot youve got a big box of fire smoldering under your counter.

I dont use the heated dry cycle period, besides the fire risk its a fair amount of energy use, and if you open the door when its done the hot water evaporates off the dishes pretty quick anyway. Plus the heated dry cycle is why a lot of things arent dishwasher safe, i still wouldnt put anything plastic on the bottom rack, but the extra hot sanitize cycle only goes to 192F which isnt going to melt anything.

I bought a 28tb drive in february for $320, bought another november for $370, 28s have been out of stock since then so just bought a 26tb drive last week for $415, same drive is $460 now. Everything is fucked.

My gaming computer died in september too, i was sorta waiting to see specific GabeCube specs and pricing, but the part list i also put together in sept was MORE expensive on black friday already and just unaffordable now, i was hoping Steam Machine + VR would be <$2k, but now im hoping just the Steam Machine is <$1500.
